I bought 2 sets of these speakers. I hooked them up to my ZX350.4 KICKER amp. They sounded good for a while, but after about a month of use. They actually burned up. I mean they really got messed up.I was running 60 watts of power to each one with the crossover set full pass for highs and lows and they went out. They just couldnt handle the power they are rated at, at a full range use. If I had to guess why they blew it would be that there not capable of handling todays hip hop rap music which contain aot of low frequencies.I dont know where or if I went wrong but I installed them correctly on a custom speaker rack and everything was insulated with dynamat. If I had to guess there handling power I would probably say around 50 watts rms not 70.I also put an ohm reader to each one in a quiet inviroment no vibrations around and I was getting mixed resistance from 3.0 all the way to 4.2 back and forth . so who knows what was going on with these speakers. They also distorted at a volume above 24 and my radio goes all the way to 40. I wouldn't recomend these speakers. Maybe the KS series are much better. If you run the ds693 at high pass with no low frequencies going to them they should be allright but for a full range speaker. heck no!! youll have to get subs like I did.

I have 4 of these in my 06 Charger and they sound awesome. I have them connected to a Memphis 100.4 4-channel amp and the sound quality is perfect. Would recommend these speakers to anyone.

i recently bought a set of these for my car and they pound like crazy with my jvc kd-lh1000. they can rattle my rear view mirrow when im going down the road at 55mph. they can handle everything i throw at them with my cd player except a couple base intense songs. one of them being "get low" by "lil john & the eastside boyz" they can throw out enough base with this song to rattle my rearview mirrow going 70 down the freeway! all things considered these are the best 6x9s youll find. buy them. they're well worth your 100 bucks.
