Not a fan
I would not recommend this to anyone. It sticks out too far and looks awkward. I prefer to use the Scosche GM1483B it fits much better and has a cleaner look. It wasn't until recently that Sonic started including this dash kit for these trucks (99 suburban).

Perfect for many applications.
I needed a spacer for an '83 Subaru Brat. The factory radio wasn't nearly as deep as a normal single DIN head unit.
The quality was great, and with just a few minor modifications, the head unit fits great, and still leaves good clearance for the shifter.
This would work just as well for many applications not listed.
