July 28, 2009 Excellent, with a little drawback.

Usability
This works great, it will control your Aftermarket receiver as if it was a fix IR remote controller allowing the use of your steering wheel audio buttons.

It is a learning IR remote control wich will learn the codes of your IR remote control. If you don't have you headunit IR-RC, you can't proceed.

If you are not familiar with resistor color code and soldering, you may have a hard time with this. Some help with choosing the right resistor (2 for me) and you are on the go. If you a re familiar, piece of cake.

You need to follow instructions, it may look difficult but it is not.
Once you made the apropriate connectiosn (2, maybe 3) you need to have your SWIX programed and to do so, you will need the Orginal IR remote control, if you don't have it, you can't program you SWIX.

Once installed you'll find that you need to maintain pressed the button a litle longer than usual, you get used to it.
Be carefull, it may not work when direct sunlight hits either the sensor or the led.

February 15, 2009 Works as advertised; needs to come with a longer LED cord

The title says it all. The product works just fine, but I had to extend the LED emitter cord in order to place the emitter in the overhead console. This was necessary because this car's drink holder is in the center console, just where the emitter might have gone, and placing a cup in the holder would have blocked the iR path. A longer cord would have been appreciated.
