I have this unit in my off shore fishing boat. I built a box out of lexan and the install and sound quality was better than expected. The old Standard Horizon Unit it replaced was no where near the fidelity of this big radio. I also am very impressed with the compatibility with my iPhone4S. I use pandora mostly and the sound is great.
