What is Bandpass?
Bandpass Enclosures are designed to get the best performance from the subwoofer and allow bass performance that would normally only be possible from a sealed or ported enclosure twice the size. In a Bandpass design the subwoofer is placed inside the enclosure where it can be worked much harder, with increased pressure on the front and back of the cone. Overall Bandpass Enclosures result in better efficiency from the subwoofer and amplifier, considerably more volume, greater bass presence and a bigger, deeper bass sound. The BlackAir Bandpass push enclosure engineering to the extreme, producing unbelievable levels of bass previously unheard of from an enclosure of this size.

Its a little boomy, it don't play loud. It's an ok sub. For a beginner.
