I had 4 of these speakers in my regular cab 1997 Ford F-150 pushed by my JL 4 channel slash series 300 watt amp. I had it professionally installed, added a layer of sound dampening on both doors, and 2 on the floor and roof. Also had 3 JL 13TW-3's which were loud as well. Each of them pushed by the 1000 watt JL slash. But even over the loud amounts of bass, the clarity of the music was still able to be heard (which is what I wanted.) I enjoy a great deal of bass, but I also like to hear the words. Works well with all sorts of music. Great buy for the money, I bought mine before they bundled the sound dampening with the speakers, and it is a must have if you like clarity and options. Great speakers.
