good sound quality but tight on ears

The sound quality is good, kind of tight on the head. They are quite robust as well with a nice long cord. Recommended.

Sennheiser HD 205s

I got a free pair of these from Sonic Electronix when I bought my Gemini G4V DJ controller. I don't hate these headphones, but I really question if I ever would have bough them separately.
These are some basic on ear headphones that have about a mile long cable and come with a 1/4 inch adapter. One cool thing is the right ear cup swivels back and forth, so this makes cuing a little easier for DJ.
These are suuuper tight on the head and if you start sweating in these, then the ear cups don't let the sweat evaporate from you ears, which is really annoying.
However, the tightness does make for good sound isolation when in a really loud environment.
The sound is average and really doesn't stand out. These would be used more for every day use by me if the ear cups weren't so darn tight.
The cable also isn't detachable and is really awkward while DJing because it isn't coiled. So I don't know whether to let the extra length just stay on the ground or wrap it around my neck like a scarf.
But, since these headphones were free, they're really worth it in the end. I personally bring them along to gigs just as a pair of backup headphones in case me or another DJ might be in a jam and could us them. And if another DJ is sneaky and takes them, it's not like I'd cry myself to sleep over it. So yeah.
I'm glad I didn't buy them, but I went with the offer because a DJ can never have too many headphones.

They fit a child's head.

If you know about good headphones, then you know about Senn's. The 205-II's were bought as a budget priced "tertiary" pair of production cans. I wish I could tell you that they sound great but I cant. These headphones were so tight even when fully extended that the physical plastic started to " creak". This isn't by any means my first pair of Senn's. My previous (and current) Senn's all fit well and comfortably without any issues. Snug was the word I'd describe them with.

HOWEVER.

This pair wasn't snug it was downright painful. I could only wear them for a few seconds before the pressure of the cups pushing in on my head so hard that I literally couldn't hear anything but my heart beat.

IT WAS THAT TIGHT.

Im a bigger guy (6'6") so I'm used to things not fitting so I figured I'd give em to one of my kiddos. The 9 year old was the only one who put them on (at full extension) without any issues.

I ended up not returning em. Dunno why honestly. Will probably give them away on-air or something.

Sonic did everything fine. The order was shipped fast and well packaged (factory sealed) and there was nothing more that could've been asked.

But definitely know if you are an average sized person or larger THESE WILL NOT FIT YOU, or better to say these will not fit you correctly and will give you a bad exposure to Sennheiser's amazing headphones.

Pretty good, but not for djing.

The sound of the headphones is great. They have a nice amount of bass, but are clear and pretty flat. I use them to check my final mixes all the time. I wouldn't recommend entire mixing with these but they do help you see where your levels are pretty good and accurate. They are pretty tight on your head i wouldn't use them to dj with. They are way to plasticy to be taken on the road, or club but. They sound pretty good. Use them like i do, studio monitoring for artists, and checking your mixes

Top quality sound engineering!

This is my second pair of Sennheiser Headphones. The first pair got a wire torn loose from falling asleep with them on. They were the over-the-ear type. This new pair is the on-ear type. I can't wear them as long as the first pair because they become uncomfortable after an hour or so. Both have the weak point of having a thin wire that breaks at the headphone without much provacation. A better design would have a 3.5mm jack on the headphone itself so a strain on the wire would disconnect it instead of breaking it. Other than this flaw, Sennheisers are a great sounding pair of headphones for the money. I recommend them.

Sennheiser HD 205-II

I can't complain, I am using these headphones to DJ with and I have no complaints. Sound is clear they work great with my dj controller and my manual mixer. Sounds good no popping clean sound.
