Power and Value with Cerwin-Vega H.E.D
Cerwin-Vega's HED series subwoofers, like the HED128, were created with two main goals in mind. To provide quality bass at a great value. Sometimes "value" items aren't as great as they should be and often corners are cut. This is not the case with Cerwin Vega. Their new HED128 subwoofer offers great bass with a power rating of 300 watts peak and 150 watts of continuous RMS, giving you just enough bass that is not overwhelming but still precise. The woofer features a composite polypropylene design that offers perfect weight to strength ratio that increases the durability of the subwoofer while at the same time improves performance. Its rubber surround allows for high amounts of excursion, while the rolled aluminum former increase thermal capabilities to improve power handling. This means being able to play your subwoofer for longer periods of time. Installation is made easy with the use of nickel-plated push terminals that offer a quick and secure connection every single time. The woofer also features cross-flow window venting that reduces voice coil temperatures and radial contact convex domes that reduce cone flex and minimize distortion. The HED series subwoofers might be a "value" subwoofer but are manufactured and designed to operate at a higher level.

After buying the new Vega HED sub's, I found that is what I was looking for and they still are not broken in yet. So whoever else out there know's about Cerwin Vega, if you get you will be Amazed what they can do and it's nice for your pocket. And yes they are getting real power to them as well from an old school Fosgate amp.

I would not normally go with an 8 ohm sub and I noticed how small the magnet was, but because it was Cerwin Vega, I decided to give it a try and was really impressed. You won't be heard blocks away... but it will shake the hell outta ya and you'll be heard coming down the street. Make sure you have a quality box, if you're thinking about buying the subs and box combo, don't! Buy the subs and buy a different or build your own quality box. I searched everywhere for reviews and didn't find a single one. Took a gamble and it paid off!
