worked out perfectly

Used these to replace the main drivers in my Lexus SC430 2003 convertible. We had to make a piece of thin plywood shaped like the old ones and cut out the center to accept these new C.V. 6.5" drivers. The sound is great and they are way better than the Martin Logans used in the OE of the car. Put three stars for ease of use only because I had to adapt them to my application.

I ordered these speakers , because I knew that Cerwin Vega speaker
are really good . I put them in my 1999 VW beetle door panles .
They sound great ( alot of bottom end , but not to much , and a clear mid range ) , I listen to classic rock and I'm very happy with the sound.

I hope that Sonic Electronix stocks more of these! These are great speakers. I was surprised how well these picked up the low end bass in the music. You still need a sub to get below 40hz with any amount of volume, however they perform wonderful! They clarity of the mids and highs are outstanding as well! One side note: The site said they fit my 88 Ford F150, and they did, however they were too big for the diameter of the holes in the doors. A 6" speaker would have dropped in with no mods. That being said, after a little modding to the gasket they fit nice, and sound wonderful! I give a 5 of 5! I put they would sound even better hooked to an amp. They sound ok at first, but as you turn them up they sound better and better! Only at near full power from my head unit do you detect any distortion, and that may be caused by the head unit pushing as hard as it can. Like I said five stars! Good job Cerwin Vega!

Great Speakers!

Fantastic!!! These are great sounding speakers! I listen to all types of music and all sound great on these speakers! As with any door speaker you're not going to get tons of loud low-end bass, but it is there, just not loud. There in the doors of my 89 F150. Just so you know they do fit, however, not into the factory holes. Just a bit too big for the cutouts. I did make them fit, but not without a little modification.

I'm running them off of a Sony head unit. Pretty new. Maybe pushing 20-30 watts to each speaker. The speakers sound really good at more than half volume, but after that the HU does not have enough power to push these powerful little speakers. I get some distortion caused by weak amp in HU. I'm about to put them on a 4 channel amp with a 12" sub. I'm sure these speakers are going to impress with a clean 50 watts going to each.

Sonic is out of stock right now in this item, and I'm really hoping they have no plans to stop selling Cerwin Vega, because these sound truly amazing at this price!

Buy this speaker! You will not be disappointed! By the way, the mid bass and high bass are OFF THE CHAIN!!! So loud and clean! :-)
