Push Button Controls Set This Stand Above The Rest
Since their inception, Technical Pro has been well known to make solid, long-lasting professional gear from microphones (and mic stands) to amplifiers, mixers, equalizers and even storage racks! The same innovative method of design that they utilize for their various pieces of electronic equipment is also apparent in the design of their stands and racks. The MKST3 Tripod Microphone Stand with Clasp Adjuster is a mic stand that stands out above the rest. The stand's noticeably high quality parts and versatility has earned it great renown in the professional audio recording and broadcasting fields.
At its core, the MKST3 is made of a thick steel frame, insuring that the stand will not bend or break. The tripod design of the base will keep the stand balanced in just about any environment. As one would expect, the tripod legs can be adjusted for more precise balancing and positioning. The tripod base is connected to the steel frame which is connected to an adjustable arm at the top. The adjustable arm can move in several directions allowing you to easily adjust the stand for any style of recording. The length of the adjustable arm is 16”, and it can be extended up to an additional 12”. The arm can smoothly swivel a full 360°. The angle of the arm can be adjusted up to 180 °, as well.
The adjustments can be made by simply using the Push Button controls which, upon release, will lock the arm in your desired position. The Push Button feature on this stand is one of the most apparent things that sets this apart and above the competition. Wouldn't just about anyone agree that simple button pushes are so much easier than having to screw or fasten a clamp? The great minds at Technical Pro certainly think so.
The amount of adjustments this stand is capable of makes this the perfect microphone stand for recording vocals, instruments and drum mic’ing. If you need an over head capture, simply raise the stand to your needed height. If you want to record while sitting down, lower the stand and change the position of the 360 degree adjustable arm. The minimum height is 40” and the maximum height is 65”. Also, it's highly advised to use the included clasp to keep your microphone cable wrapped neatly. The LAST thing anyone would want to do after purchasing a high-end microphone is have it fall to the ground from somebody tripping over the wire. Right? Right.
The MKST3 is definitely a good choice for all around applications in professional audio. The stand's push button controls & affordability make it almost too good to be true, but every once in a while, a product like this comes along and raises that bar!

This mic stand, first of all, is solid. Materials are good and craftsmanship is excellent. Then, the features. It breaks down really small for transport. Setup is quite easy. Pull the legs out, lower and tighten the base. Adjustments are a snap. Press the button and raise or lower the mike. Press another button and extend or contract the boom. Another button for the boom balance, and a nice if rotund knob to adjust the boom angle. They finally came out with the perfect mic stand.
