Distribution Block Specifications

Distribution Block Type
This specifies what the intended use of the distribution block is. Fused distribution blocks are intended to be used with the power wire and the fuse acts as a short-circuit or surge protection so your amplifier is not as likely to be damaged. Non-fused distribution blocks can used with ground or power wire connections, but the protection on power wire connections will not be present as there is no fuse in the distribution block. Therefore, we recommend your amplifier has an external fuse for short-circuit or surge protection. When using either type of distribution block, it is recommended to use a main fuse holder within 18 inches of the battery.
Non-fused
Total Number of Inputs
This is the total number of input connections that go into the unit.
1
Maximum Input Gauge Size
This is the largest gauge wire that will fit into the power and ground terminals of this device. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire is. For example, a 4 gauge wire is thicker than an 8 gauge wire and thus has higher current carrying capacity. Always do your best to get this size wire to reduce the risk of damage to your components.
1/0 AWG
Total Number of Outputs
This is the total number of output connections that the unit will produce.
2
Maximum Output Gauge Size
This number refers to the maximum size of wire that will fit into the output connector(s) of the capacitor, battery terminal, or any other connector with an wire output.
1/0 AWG
Material
The primary material used in this accessory. For optimal current transfer & durability, brass is generally preferred. You will often find products that are plated with chrome or other materials, which helps prevent corrosion and enhances the appearance of the product.

Hard to find part............

February 5, 2013

I had wired this for a dual amp application all in 0 gauge - finding a manufactured power/ground splitter wihout fuses and in all 0 gauge is near impossible.

Great build quality, mounts well, and does it's job.

If you need a part like this, look no place else - this is the one.

Excellent quality product.

I have purchased quite a few of these and will continue to use in the future. The quality is excellent for the value. Having the ability to adapt to different cable sizes is a huge plus.

No B.S. Block

November 25, 2013

This distribution block is exactly what it says it is; there is no B.S. attached. Heavy and durable it is exactly what I was looking for. No fuses means it is compact and left me plenty of room to fuse up like I wanted to.

I used it as a ground block as well, which required no fuses, which is what lead me to this product. I have three of them wired up in my vehicle.

I chose this item because I trust rockford fosgate and their products more than anyone else right now. I also needed a block that can have 1/0 input with two outputs and no fuses. Thank you for the great price, I cant wait to hook it up!

Will adapt 0/1 to 4ga in order for my capacitor to be connected to both my speaker and sub amp

will this hold 0/1 auge on one side and 2 8 gauge wires on the other?
A shopper on Dec 15, 2014
Best Answer: yes you can. theirs a ring inside that needs to come out to run 0/1 awg when the ring is in the largest awg will be 4 and it can run down to a 8awg. my personal opinion run 0/1awg in and 4awg out that way any future advancements or upgrades made to your system wont require more wire to be ran. also you will need a allen wrench 3/16" in size

I have o gauge coming from battery can I use this block to have a 0 gauge output and a 4 gauge just want to make sure it's safe I remember I read somewhere that running 0 gauge out puts is bad?
pollo on Apr 20, 2016
Best Answer: Not exactly sure what you are trying to do. This distribution block splits the input into two outputs. Wire gauge and thickness is all about the amount of current you are running through the wire (AMPS). If you have 0 gauge wire running from the battery to the input of the distribution block, you should contact the manufacturer of the wire you have and ask what the maximum current your wire can handle. Keep in mind this varies based on the length of the wire and the composition of the wire (CCA vs OFC). Pretend that your 0 gauge wire coming from the battery can handle 200 amps on a 20 foot run to your trunk. Then your two output wires cannot have a current draw that exceeds the maximum amperage that your input wire can carry.

Also, always, always, always use an inline fuse with the rating of how many amps your wire can handle on the specific run within around 12-18 inches of the battery so that in the case there is an electrical short, or you are drawing more current than your wire can handle, the fuse blows instead of your wire overheating and causing a fire.

Also, another note, I have this distribution block, and it says that it can take 0 gauge wire, but they must be referring to some very thin 0 gauge. Because I have Sky High Car Audio 4 gauge wire, and this barely fit into the holes.

Hope this answers your question.
