The newest JBL GTO EZ Series car audio amplifiers provide unmatched ease of installation, configuration and calibration for clean, powerful sound. Connect to OEM or aftermarket systems without complicated adapters or setup routines. Use line-level (RCA) signals or speaker-level signals with RCA-to-bare-wire adapters. Experience the clean and powerful output of GTO amplifiers in a variety of channel configurations and power ratings, all of which are CEA-2006A compliant and backed by the JBL reputation for top quality.
JBL GTO subwoofer amps and subwoofer channels in system amps use highly efficient Class D circuitry to deliver very high output levels with lower current draw and lower heat generation. This high-efficiency circuitry is less taxing on your vehicle's electrical system, and the reduced system heat can enhance the amplifier's long-term reliability.
The full-range channels include a 40Hz to 220Hz variable crossover that's switchable for high-pass or low-pass operation (or bypass), and allows for precise tuning of the crossover frequency based on the speaker type and configuration being driven by those channels. Subwoofer amps and the subwoofer channels in system amplifiers feature a 40Hz to 280Hz low-pass crossover that lets you get the best blend between your system's subwoofer and the rest of its speakers.

Great amp that does it all for a great price at that
I would highly recommend this amplifier. We had it installed in my wife's Civic to power her entire system which it does perfectly. I love, love the LEDs helping to properly set gain on all inputs. Good size and plenty of juice for four 6.5" Polk speakers and a vented 10" RE 2-ohm sub. I really can't say enough about this product. Well done, JBL!

I've had 100a of amps some given to me some bought some on sale and this one is the clearest most powerful amp I've used . I don't want neighborhood shaking bars but if I want it'll do it. Crazy loud strong Dosent shut off when heated. And you know we have been having some zombie creating heat this last few months. Awsome price high quality and wicked wicked sound. Clear as day EQ works flawlessly even self tunes itself. I have a set of jBL bro component 6.9s a set of 6 1/2 JBL components and a new Pioneer slim 10 inch crazy strong sub crazy bars of you need it but clean crisp and ultra sensitive if you love that here all bass separation on hard rock dance old school rap hip hop no flaws here will far purchase this same set up for my 335i, very soon. WOW.... Extremely high quality great price can't go wrong, period 💯 ....

I bought this amp because I am an old school A/B amp fan. This amp combines the crystal clear, low-distortion A/B amp for the front stage, and the high-efficiency power of a class D amp for the sub stage. I got my daughter her first car audio system for graduation, and she absolutely loves it. I was a little skeptical at buying a 5-channel "budget" amp, but I was very pleasantly surprised at this amp. I bought her a Pioneer DEH-80PRS head unit, a pair of Memphis Audio 15-MCX62 6-1/2" coaxials for the front doors, a pair of Kicker 41KSC654 6-1/2" coaxials for the rear deck, and one Digital Designs DD-212 SVC 12" 4-ohm sub in a 1.1 cf sealed box facing the rear in the trunk. This amp provides plenty of power on all channels, gets plenty loud, and is crystal clear on all channels. It also provides easy to use features to make adjustments to the sound on each set of outputs, making it super easy to sound perfect for the vehicle. I will definitely be buying another one for my wife's car! I've only had it for about three weeks, so I can't really rate its durability, but it is JBL, and the way I baby stereo systems, I'm pretty sure it will last for many years.

After much thought, and watching Steve Meade test JBL amps on Youtube, I decided to go ahead and give this amp a try. This amp is CEA-2006 compliant which definitely helped my confidence that I was buying a product that does what it says it will do. The result is the best single solution out there to power a good car audio system on a budget. If you want good clean sound for the front stage, this amp provides it with the CLEAN (50W @ 4-ohms) A/B wattage on the front four channels. It also provides plenty of power to drive a top of the line single sub, or even a pair of subs. This amp actually DOES WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL DO, and at a bargain price! I love this amp, and will be buying another one for my wife's car. You can't go wrong if the specs are what you need. It fit my needs to a tee. I can't rightly give the product more than 3 stars for durability as I haven't had it but a week, lol! I'm pretty sure it'll hold up, though. Everything else is 5-star all the way! Great job, JBL, for a quality product at a bargain price!

Folks, I was on a strict budget and needed as small of a footprint as possible for my daughter's Kia, so I bought a 5-channel amp for the first time. I was pretty skeptical about getting "enough" sound from a single amp, but after installing this amp I was simply amazed! My daughter is not a "bass head" like I am, but she does appreciate being able to clearly hear every note without distortion. Boy, does this amp ever provide it! The A/B portion on the front 4 channels was a must as that is where distortion is most audible. I have a set of Memphis coaxials in the front door, a set of Kicker coaxials in the rear deck - all 6-1/2", and a single Digital Designs 12" in a sealed 1.1 cu. ft. box in the trunk, all running at 4-ohms, and this thing will get LOUD and CLEAR on the front stage, and hits hard and deep on the low end. All of this is running through a Pioneer DEH-80PRS as the head unit. I could get much more bass with this much power, but I was looking for SQ moreso than SPL for my daughter. If I had two 12"s running at 2-ohm in the trunk of her car, I don't think any of the mirrors would stay attached. I did my research on Youtube to see if JBL amps did what they say they do, and the amps checked out by Steve Meade exceeded the rated wattage. I'm definitely a believer now! Great job, JBL, and affordable, too? I can't only give a 3-star on durability at this point because I haven't had it hooked up but a few days, but I'm pretty darn sure it will last many years. WOW!

Bought the JBL 5ez from sonic electronix for an unbeatable price. With an amp kit. It has been worth the money so far. Puts out better power than I thought it would and sounds great. I don't think you can do better for a 5ch amp at this price. Sonic electronix had the best price on this amp by far.
The biggest thing I noticed is how hard my subwoofer (JL Audio W6v2) hits on this amp. Really hard hitting bass that can damage your hearing if your not careful. Pounds the sub to the point where the speakers can get drowned out if gains are not set right. Clear clean loud and low. This amp is all you need for a decent car setup, got enough volume to damage your ears and can play consistently. My speakers sound pretty good (JBL Gto's) on this amp but not quite as loud as I would like them to be. I turned the sub down to match them since the sub can get much louder than them. Dynamatted both doors and rear decks, I may dynamat the trunk one day now.
2 cons to the amp though:
1st: It gets pretty hot. Playing this amp for an hr at moderatly high volume it will get hot. Hot to where you can't put your hand on the amp for over 5 seconds or it will burn you. I had amp professionally installed and have been asking on forums about the heat, most say it's normal since I'm running it at 2ohm impedence. It's ok to me if it's normal that the amp gets hot, I just don't like any of my electronics getting hot whether its normal or not. One thing I am worried about and am keeping my eye on.
2nd: The JBL 5ez setup cd is trash. Just throw it away as soon as you get it and set your amp on your own. Using the test cd and following instructions to a T, I set the amp to make the led's green at 75% max volume. Problem is, when I played some music and could only turn up my radio maybe 50% before clipping occurs. (Music is released much louder these days than the low volume test tone) After a few days of this, I said screw the test cd and reset the amp by ear around 75-80% volume with music. Turned the gains way down on the amp and now I can get around 75-80% volume from head unit playing music without any clipping. I'm not sure where my head unit clips so I'm settting it being safe. I could push it harder but I don't have a tool to test for clipping, so I just set it conseratively. Setting it by ear is way better than using the test cd. Not even sure why this amp was marketed like this. But it's ok I still like the fact that the gains have a dial, and not some screwdriver hole where you can't even see where your gain is set.
Overall its a great amp 4/5, for the price offered on sonic electronix its 5/5. Lets just hope it lasts me!

For the price this think will rock any vehicle for the average listener. Any be beat for the cost and cea compliant. Simple setup and instruction. Disc didn't work for me but it wasn't necessary.

This isn't some cheap amp of average quality. It's solid and will not quit. I love the low voltage shutdown warning it gives me - by virtually shutting the output down - warning me my battery is about to die but still being able to start my car. I’ve been running this for 4 years with nothing but great power, sound quality, and reliability. Its a solid amp. I get head turns everywhere I blast it. A great aspect is you get balanced sound from all speakers without all bass. I have JBL 2 ohm 3 ways in the back. I pushed those hard - still going. In the front I had a set of 2 way jbl 2 ohm speakers with crossover silk tweeters ect but the woofers detached from the rubber surrounding plus I got massive radio interference. Now I'm running 50w 4 ohm 6.5 alpine with silk domes in the front I got cheap - they sound great - but who can find a 2 way 6.5 speaker at 2 ohms? I use this amp with the sub level control "Harman RBC", an absolute must with this amp-I bought that controller when it was marked jbl. JBL is doing a good job imo. Crutchfield gave me the adapter for my corolla and it looks like a stock stereo! It's a great company.

This is a well built amplifier, looks nice, and has plenty of power for the most demanding audiophile. Not quite as small as a PDX v9, but not as pricey. With that said,it can hold its own against the Alpine.
