Amplifier Specifications

Total RMS Power Output
Total RMS power is measured by multiplying RMS power per channel by the number of channels, and is calculated at the lowest level of operating impedance.

RMS power is the amount of continuous power, measured in watts, that an amplifier produces is called RMS power. The higher the RMS figure, the louder and cleaner your music sounds.

The RMS output figure is much more accurate than the peak rating when comparing products.

300 watts
Maximum Input Gauge Size
This is the largest gauge wire that will fit into the power and ground terminals of this device. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire is. For example, a 4 gauge wire is thicker than an 8 gauge wire and thus has higher current carrying capacity. Always do your best to get this size wire to reduce the risk of damage to your components.
8 AWG
Speaker Level Inputs
Speaker level inputs are commonly referred to as high-level inputs and vice versa. This input type allows you to get your audio signal directly from the speaker wire in your vehicle, instead of using RCA cables. The advantage of this is factory integration, as most stock radios do not have RCA outputs to run amplifiers.
Yes - with included adapter
Preamp Outputs
Many amplifiers are equipped with RCA preamp outputs which pass the original music signal from the source to additional amplifiers. This is known as daisy chaining because the source connects to the first amp, and the first amp connects to the second amp, etc. The advantage to daisy chaining is you only need one 2-channel RCA cable to transfer the signal from the head-unit to the amplifier, and then one additional cable for each amp being daisy chained.
1 pair
Built-in Crossover

A crossover is a type of filtering system that permits only certain frequencies to play. A Low-Pass (LP) crossover allows only frequencies below its setting to get through which is good in the case of some subwoofers. A High-Pass(HP) filter allows frequencies above its setting to pass through, this is normally used on speakers.

When a crossover is set to FULL it means no filtering is added and the full frequency spectrum is allowed through the amplifier. Filtering is important because feeding a speaker frequencies it cannot reproduce effectively creates distortion.

Low-pass (LP)
Low-Pass Crossover Frequency
The low-pass crossover frequency is typically used for subwoofers. It can be a fixed crossover point or a variable crossover range. A variable low-pass crossover allows you to select a specific crossover point which allows frequencies below the set crossover point to pass, while making frequencies above the set point gently or harshly roll-off, depending on the steepness of the slope.

The steepness of the roll-off slope is measured in dB/octave and refers to the rate of attenuation (lowering of volume) outside their pass bands.

50 - 200 Hz
Bass/Gain Remote
If the amp comes with a bass/gain remote you will be able to control the level of your bass from your dashboard. Typically bass remotes also include a 16-20 ft. wire for installation.
Yes

Subwoofer Specifications

Subwoofer Size
Refers to the diameter of the subwoofer, measured in inches.
10"
RMS Power Handling
The RMS power is the amount of power the speaker requires to operate safely and properly. RMS Power Handling refers to the amount of power a speaker can handle on a continuous basis. We recommend powering your speakers or subwoofer with 80%-120% of its recommended RMS rating. The RMS power handling specification is typically rated per speaker unless otherwise noted.
300 watts
Frequency Response
The range of frequencies the speaker will reproduce (lowest frequency to the highest). Bigger is better, meaning the wider the range, the better. The optimal range is 20 - 20,000 Hz (which is the range of human hearing).
35 - 150 Hz
Subwoofer Design
This is the design of the subwoofer or the opening of the subwoofer enclosure. Each design has it's own benefits, whether it is a square, circle, or oval.

Round/Circle: This is the typical and common subwoofer design. They have a round cone and are a circle in design.

Square: These woofers are able to achieve a greater cone area in a smaller space. Because of the greater surface area, some square subwoofers will be louder than a round subwoofer of the same size.

Enclosure Specifications

Box Type
Represents the style of the enclosure. Be sure to purchase the appropriate enclosure type and internal volume that will be compatible with your subwoofer's recommendation.

Sealed - Sealed boxes are those that have no holes or vents in it. The only hole in a sealed box is where the subwoofer is installed. Smaller sealed boxes require more power than a larger sealed box. They provide a tight, accurate bass, while the larger sealed enclosures provide a "boomier" and louder bass.

Ported / Vented - Ported/Vented Enclosures provide an even boomier, louder bass, but less accurate then a small, sealed box. Ported enclosures typically require more airspace per sub and also less power output from an amplifier to perform correctly.

Bandpass - Bandpass enclosures make subwoofers perform efficiently, but loose. The bass is not as "boomy" as a ported enclosure nor as punchy as a sealed enclosure. Bandpass enclosures work well with lower to mid-level subwoofers.
Sealed
Number of Subs/Speakers
This value represents the number of speakers or subwoofers that the enclosure accommodates.
1
Box Style/Shape
The box style or shape refers to the actual shape of the box. Square and rectangular boxes are straight-edged boxes on all sides, whereas hatchback and truck style enclosures feature an angled front or back design that allows for installation in places short on depth such as single cab pickup trucks. You can also use such enclosures in hatchback cars or other vehicles where space is a premium. Tube and cylinder shaped boxes were made popular by Bazooka and are a great option for those looking for a nice amount of bass without sacrificing lots of space. They may even fit in locations that slim truck boxes cannot fit in. If the enclosure is vehicle specific, we encourage you to read the product description to find out which vehicles the enclosure is made for.
Hatchback Style, Angled Back
Height
The height of the item, measured from top to bottom, in inches.
13-5/16"
Width
The width of the item from left to right (side-to-side) measured in inches.
18"
Depth
The front-to-rear depth of the item, in inches. If the item is angled or slanted, this value is the bottom measurement.
5-15/16"
Second Depth
The second depth is used only when the box is slanted or angled. This value is the top measurement and it is measured in inches.
8-15/16"
Box Exterior Color
The color of the enclosure's exterior/outer finish.
Black
Box Finish
The material used on the outside of the box. Most boxes are carpeted to prevent exterior scratches; however vinyl is popular as it can often be color-matched to a near exact look of your leather factory interior.
Carpet
Final Wired Impedance
This is the final impedance of the system as the amplifier will see it. If the final impedance is for two sets, it means that the enclosure has two sets of terminals at the listed impedance.

amazing

February 27, 2014

This is the first thing I've bought from Sonic Electronix, I'm not bull s***ting when I say this got to my house literally 2 days after I ordered it. I thought that was bulls*** when I saw it written on their website.

Anyways, the sub sounds amazing, im using it as a temporary setup in my mazda 3 until I can afford a larger sub with a big ported box.

The only thing I don't like is the Box is way too small, and the subwoofer has trouble producing bass below 35 hertz.

Good sub until it died

September 11, 2013

I had this sub for about 3 months and it was amazing. Never had any distortion and was plenty of bass for my car. However one fateful day it just stopped working. I checked everything and found out i had blown the fuses which was no big issue. I replaced both of the fuses and boom, power lights on and everything looked okay. Went to test it out and nothing. The amplifier was on and powered but no bass. Found It was easier for me to just ditch it and start over since return shipping for the repair would be better spent on buying a nicer setup.
If you do decide to purchase this sub make sure you have a way to secure the box because it falls and slides all over the trunk really easily. I would also recommend not pushing the sub to its limits because I think thats the reason that mine died.

Amazing sound from a small box

June 5, 2013

The bass produced by this box (when adjusted properly) is outstanding. Not too boomy and not tinny-just right. I have it installed in a regular cab Silverado and it makes driving the truck a pleasure. I'm extremely satisfied with how easy the install was and just how good it sounds. I'd buy this again 10 out of 10 times.

This is a high quality powered sub. Well-made, top quality fit and finish,
thumps, booms and punches hard. If you're looking for an easy set up, I can't imagine a better powered sub box. The remote is convenient. Excellent choice for affordable option to really complete a system.

Rockford Fosgate P300 Powered Subwoofer

November 9, 2013

Installed behind the seat in my regular cab Chevy C1500 pickup. It definitely rattle the cab. Had it hooked up by a pro. Go for the 8 gauge power wire to ensure you get all the power you need. Super price - beat a well-known national competitor by over 30%.
Pros: This sub rocks! Easy to dial in desired crossover point. Definitely moves a lot of air.
Cons: This baby is heavy, which means it doesn't move around much (wait, that's a good thing!)

Dissaapointed

October 13, 2013

Rockford does have top notch products, but this does not deliver what I hoped. Installed in Tahoe. It adds very little "sub" bass over my Bose stock system. I installed it in every configuration possible in attempt to get more bass. no luck. To get a little thump you have to turn the bass knob up so high it distorts badly and sounds bad. I'm no basshead but I do like a little thump now and again. At this point wasn't really worth the $ or trouble to install it. I had hoped that with recent technology the industry may have finally been able to deliver stellar powered woofers. I suppose Its time hang the space savers up an go traditional with sub& separate. KEEP WORKING ON IT MANUFACTURERS SO MANY OF US WANT A LITTLE MORE BASS WITH OUT HUGE BOXES IN OUR TRUNKS!

Excellent sub for the price!!

February 27, 2013

Purchased the P300-10 for 2012 Camaro LS with the base stereo. It was seriously lacking any low enter. Purchased this sub and couldn't be happier.
The install was super easy. Pos to battery, neg to a bolt. Used speaker level inputs. I tapped into the rear speaker... easy. I did not need a separate turn on wire, as the sub turns on when an incoming audio signal is detected, and off when no audio signal.

No line output converter is needed. Just connect the pos/neg from the sub to the pos/neg of your rear speakers. I just used a t-tap so I didn't even cut the wire.

The sound is very good, and I can easily make the rear view mirror shake. Glad I made the purchase. It gives the stock stereo that missing low end punch that was missing without spending all that much.

Awesome package!

November 29, 2014

I ordered this expecting it to just fill in the lows that my friends stock stereo was missing...and I got a lot more! this is an amazing unit. It hits hard clean and loud, supprisingly so for such a small package. Built in amp packs a punch and supplies ample clean power. I doubt you could buy a sub, box and amp for this much and have it be anywhere near as good. 5 stars!!

Homerun for Fostgate

November 5, 2014

I own a 2001 F150 supercrew and recently decided to upgrade the entire sound system. I replaced the factory speakers with some Polks and installed an Alpine head unit and while it was a huge improvement it left me wanting to add a sub to round out the sound. I wanted something small with a good clean punch that I could feel but didn't want my truck to sound like a 16 year old in a civic with rattling bass that can be heard for miles. This powered sub had great reviews and seemed like it would be perfect for me and it absolutely delivered. I went with rockford fosgate because I install custom accessories on ATVs and have always been a fan of their products and they didn't let me down. I wired mine into the rear speakers which was extremely easy and had this unit neatly installed in about 45 minutes. It fit nicely behind the passengers seat and I used the included velcro to secure it in place and so far it hasn't moved after about a week of driving. Once I got the gain and crossover adjusted this thing really surprised me. The bass is nice and clean with good low range. My gain is only about half way up and the bass boost is turned all the way down and this sub will still rattle your chest and shake the mirrors if you want it to. I listen to mostly older rock like Zeppelin or Sabbath with a little country mixed in and this sub is perfect for that. It hits hard and sounds like there's a kick drum and bass guitar playing behind me. The best feature for me is the remote. MP3s aren't very consistent when it comes to sound quality and the remote is very handy for adding or lowering bass levels to match each song without having to mess with the sub at all. Also love the fact that you have multiple options for power supply and audio in-puts. If you're looking to add some good clean bass to you're current setup and give your favorite tunes a punch that you can feel then look no further. This is absolutely all the bass you need for music enjoyment. If you don't care about music quality and just want to blow windows out of houses, set off car alarms from a mile away, and rattle your vehicle until the doors fall off then this is not the sub you want. Overall very pleased with the sound and quality of this sub. For the price there's really nothing to complain about. Rockford Fosgate got it right.

Easy to install, takes very little space. I installed in 2010 audi a4 with audi concert system. Spliced into factory sub in rear. Disconnected factory sub using connector to get pure signal to fosgate. Sounds great! Wish I had gotten 12 in for deeper bass.

A shopper on Nov 28, 2014
Best Answer: Hello,

It depends on what you are referring to as "..the wires.." . Rockford Fosgate includes the High-Level/RCA Wires/Harness that connects to the Input pictured Below. In addition, they also include the Quick Disconnect Plug for the Power/Ground .

However, if you are referring to Actual Power/Ground and RCAs, that is NOT included.
