The New Massive Audio VOLT Series subwoofer uses a custom designed stamp steel basket with a heavy powder coat finish that surrounds a custom tooled poly mica cone and a Massive logo embossed on the ultra-low mass woven glass fiber dust cap. In the center of the cone is the 1.5" Single 4 Ohm voice coil with aluminum former and reinforced neck joint. It is attached to the steel frame with a pro audio Dual Layer 1" N-Roll polyester foam surround. The Poly-Cotton spider with woven round tinsel lead wire holds the V.C. in place and helps deliver the CEA 2031 rated 600 Max Watts/300 Watts RMS power. All this helps the 4 layer voice coil pound its way though a single 50 oz. high grade ferrite ring with a FEMM linear flux saturated motor design which helps control motion and reduces distortion.
