Almost Perfect
I've purchased and installed FM re-modulators in automotive applications several times. Until this unit, all of the re-modulators I've used let the antenna connection to the radio go if there is no audio signal present at the input to the re-modulator. This one doesn't. It is therefore necessary to install a spst switch interrupting the 12 volt power to the re-modulator if you want to use the radio. Possibly, the use of an antenna splitter in the installation, bypassing the re-modulator switching the antenna out would work unless there is a broadcast signal on the radio channel you've selected for the re-modulator. WRT durability - don't know yet.

I was disappointing with this product. It has a loud ground loop noise type buzz even when hooked up to a Ipod which is ground isolated. The buzz comes on and off periodically. When power is applied to the box all other FM stations are blocked. The line in voltage has to be lower then normal, It can not accept max volume from an ipod without distorting making the output quieter then a CD or regular FM stations.

I have bought two of these, both work good. I do recommend using a toggle switch for the power supply, it busts up about half the FM band when on. The best mounting solution is to find the biggest empty area in your dash(preferably accessible to switch freq), find a flat area and about 3 inches of 3M Velcro. So far so good on that.
P.S. Auvio makes a great RCA to 3.5mm adapter that you should have to complete the setup.
