When replacing your factory radio with an after-market car stereo, the Scosche FDK9B wire harness is a must for a quick and clean installation. It eliminates cutting your OE radio plug. After connecting it, your install is simple as the wires will color-match and easily connect to the after-market stereo. Without the Scosche FDK9B, you would have to cut the OE radio plug and manually test each wire to connect to your after-market receiver.
In addition, because you do not have to cut your OE radio plug off, the FDK9B allows you to reinstall your factory receiver if necessary. A great example is if you sold your car, but wanted to keep your after-market radio and re-install your factory stereo receiver. Included with XD radio package deal. Great. Made installing XD unit almost a drop in job. And allows for easy return to OEM radio if car disposed of later. Spend the extra $ to get this wiring adapter if you're contemplating a new radio!

Got it for my XO Vision XOD1742BT radio to go in my 2003 ford mustang. Everything worked fine. connected all wires well and plugged into the radio well. Haven't had any problems with it yet.
