Okay I guess

May 14, 2012

This port does an okay job at lower volumes but with a high excursion 15" subwoofer it really starts to make port noise. It is really 4x6 which made it too small for my enclosure. Does it work? Yes it does and it looks great just not practical for anything over 12".

Great product

January 28, 2015

These ports render traditional port tubes or even aeroport kits, completely obsolete. If you know how to properly tune a box, you can really do some neat things with these. I used a single 4x6 port in a cube and a half box with a ten inch Fosgate hx2 and it absolutely came alive. I would recommend these to anyone building a ported box, unless you really want that kerfed look, these are your best option to reduce turbulance, hit lower notes with authority and still retain some usable space.

Quality Issue

April 27, 2014

I have purchased this product previously whereby each unit was a copy of the other. However, I was deceived with the latest purchase whereby I purchased five units and each unit was of a different length. I believe this is the reason SonicElectronix has reduced the price drastically. I believe the customers should have been informed about this quality issue.

Decent port-needs to be longer/adjustable

May 4, 2014

I picked this up in the hopes that I could use it to be a longer flared port. It's really designed to be a 6" long port which means its tuning frequency is far higher than I wanted.

Can I remove the two black ends and fix them over custom length 4 inch PVC pipes?
Harry H on Jun 22, 2015
Best Answer: No you cannot. I purchased two of these thinking the same thing. Unfortunately the diameter of this port is not a standard four inch measurement. There is nothing in any hardware store, Home Depot, Loewe's, etc. or any plumbing department ANYWHERE that carries this "one of a kind pipe" size. Build a slot port, rule of thumb is 15 square inches slot opening diameter per cubic foot of interior diameter of the box the length of the slot port will then be adjusted to tune to the proper frequency.
