LEGIT!!
I love 'em. The DT990s are amazing once they break in. They have great but not too much bass, mids are warm and highs are clear but not harsh. They sound great on every style of music I throw at it (except for Banda and Country since they're not my cup of purple drank). I chose the 32ohm because I mostly use it to listen to spotify on my cellphone. If you plan on using them with your cellphone or tablet I would definitely stick with the 32ohm or they may not be loud enough without having to use an amp. I'm not the biggest fan of the colors but the build quality is great and they are comfortable. The large cups allow my ears to rest comfortable inside them and I do not get any ear fatigue when wearing for long periods of time. I like everything about them except for the long chord which is not removable. I wish high end headphones would come with detachable chords but it doesn't look like any REAL audiophile headphones do.
Most other headphones i've heard sound great only on certain types of music. Unless you want to own more than one pair of high end headphones to switch out every time you go from listening to The Eagles to listening to Lil Wayne I would suggest these.

I finally found a very comfortable, extremely accurate headphone. I go back to the days of the Koss liquid filled earpeices of the early 70's and while accurate for their time they became heavy and hot after extended listening periods.
I use the DT 990's on both my Bose Companion 5 computer audio system and also with my Peachtree 220 SE amplifier and they sound magnificent!
I was a little concerned about the open ear design affecting audio quality but those fears proved to be misplaced. Now I can listen in total comfort and hear the phone or the door bell.
I highly recommend this headphone!
