Add An Amplifier To Your Stereo System!

The NVX XPLOC2 Premium line-out converter is the perfect solution for adding an aftermarket amplifier to your stock or aftermarket stereo system. The XPLOC2 handles a large amount input power (300 watts total, 150 per channel) uses the signal from your stock stereo or amplifier by tapping into the stock speaker wire and converting it to a 2-channel RCA signal output. This allows you to add an amp simply and effectively. It features a 3:1 Step down with an adjustable gain output, DC amplifier turn-on trigger and a 150 watt maximum input. The end result is a high quality line out converter with super low distortion, and as with all NVX products the engineering and build quality is second-to-none.

Product Features:

  • 2-channel High-powered, 300w Total Maximum Input (150w per channel)
  • Premium adjustable line output converter with digital noise filter and line driver
  • 3:1 Step Down With Adjustable Output
  • DC Amplifier Turn On Trigger
  • Super Low Distortion
  • Authorized Internet Dealer
  • 1-year Manufacturer's Warranty

Line-Out Converter Specifications

Number of Channels
Each channel on an amplifier will power one speaker using a positive and negative cable. There are various types of amplifiers, each designed to power a certain number of speakers. Monoblock amplifiers, also known as single channel, are designed to power one or more subwoofers. These amplifiers often have very high power ratings. On the other hand, multi-channel amplifiers power multiple speakers, usually at lower power ratings. 2-Channel and 4-Channel amplifiers can power car speakers or low powered subwoofers. Occasionally you might see a 5 or 6-channel amplifier that can power speakers and subwoofers at the same time. The most common setup is a monoblock amp to run subwoofers and a 4-channel amp to run door speakers. Check out our Knowledge Base for more information.

December 18, 2012

I bought a new 2013 Sonata SE in October and was not happy at all with the factory system, mainly because at 70mph on the freeway I couldn't hear the stereo very good even at max volume. Wanted to keep the stock look and features, so I opted to add a 4 channel amp. I chose the NVX 2 channel line out converter after a Sonic rep recommended it for my situation. I used it to tap into the front speaker wiring behind the head unit, then connected the NVX LOC2 to a HiFonics 4 band EQ that I mounted in my center console storage under the armrest. I ran 4 channels out from that to an MTX Thunder amp that I've had for almost 10 years now and installed new Alpine components in the front doors and Infinity coaxials in the rear doors. System sounds incredible and I'm glad because I had never used a line out converter before and was concerned about the sound quality potentially suffering. Can't say for sure that a new head unit wouldn't sound even better, but I can say that I am completely satisfied with the sound I'm getting with everything running through the NVX XPLOC2. It also gives you a remote line out to make adding an EQ or amp a breeze. Would definitely recommend.

Everything NVX is quality.

January 19, 2014

I'm a big fan of NVX products now. I owned this so I didn't have to change the stock hi in my scion tc. I eventually uprgades but this allowed me to have a subwoofer while my headunit had no RCAs. Clean and worked well.

I bought this item about a month ago and i really like the product. I have had no distortion from my subs. Getting the grounds right and setting up the wires was a small task, but well worth it. I never even adjusted the output frequency on the channels and they sound great.

It does EXACTLY what it says it does and it does so noise-free (as passive devices all should - but some DON'T) and it's cheaper than the parts it costs to build one. I bought it for my back-of-room subs, as the new amps I bought do not have speaker-level inputs. I'm so happy with the sound that I am now ordering another for the front-of-room subs (and more amps).

September 17, 2013

i installed this into my 2010 hyundai genesis coupe. i was originally using a scosche line converter that didn't have auto amp turn on triggering. once i installed this product i instantly heard better sound quality and it was a lot louder. The trigger turn on works amazing. i would recommend this to anyone wanting to install after market amps without replacing the stock head unit.

Stop looking around - this one is perfect!

July 26, 2013

I used this converter to add an amplifier to a factory M-Benz audio system. It's running of oem subwoofer speaker wires and feeding a Rockford Fosgate amp with two 8" subs. The system sounds great and this converter has been working flawlessly. I shopped around before buying - this one has my vote because of its compact size, high input power, amplifier turn on trigger, and adjustable gain output - all nice features to have for a clean install and ability to tune your system. The only negative I can think of is the very bright red LED power on indicator, which can be a positive if you get creative with placing this item.

NVX XPLOC2
Does this require a 12V dc power source? Can you run it without using the remote turn on? Is it possible to see a copy of the installation instructions?
A shopper on Aug 5, 2014
Best Answer: I bought this product, but haven't had a chance to really use it. I had a problem with another component in my system, so I ended up with an alternative solution, which didn't include the NVX XPLOC2. I can tell you, though, that the device does require a power source (I don't think it would work without one), but the remote wire is optional for output, not input, so you'll be able to turn on an amplifier when the NVX turns on. The device has a harness with 10 wires: 4 inputs for left/right +/- speakers connections, 2 RCA outputs, 2 +/- 12V power source, 1 extra ground in case there's no sound and last one for remote output. It seems like a well constructed device, in contrast with a similar product from Stinger, that was pretty vulnerable.

NVX XPLOC2
Does this product require 12VDC power? Can it be run without using the remote trigger? I understand that 4 wires would be for the speaker connections, what are the other 4 wires used for? Is it possible to receive a copy of the installation instructions?
Thanks
Scott
Scott F on Aug 5, 2014
Best Answer: It will require 12VDC Power to operate, connected to the yellow wire.
Black is ground.
Grey (+)/grey&blk (-) would connect to your right speaker, white (+)/white&blk (-) would connect to your left speaker, these are the input signals to your XPLOC.
Blue is remote trigger out, you would connect to your power amplifier so it has a turn on signal.
Then connect RCA cables from your power amplifier to the RCA outputs on the XPLOC.
The brown wire is also a ground, but only to be connected if no sound when everything else but the brown is connected.

I want to use it for converting 150W speaker to RCA without step down or remote or any activation in our home (not car_
Do I have to connect with 12 V DC power at all?
BV B on Aug 19, 2014
Best Answer: I would think all the 12volts is for would be remote turn on. I have one that is for smaller wattage with no remote turn on and it has no 12 volt wire only ground
