Perfect Replacement Solution
Great sound off a low powered system is certainly achievable with the new Boston Acoustics S-Series speakers. These speakers will produce the real tones of your music as the artist originally intended. They offer a warm natural sound with the ability to really get loud. With the built-in crossover, you will hear a rich blend of music between the woofer and the tweeter, and a smooth high and low frequency roll-off. These 35 watt RMS speakers will run great off your factory or aftermarket stereo without the need for an external amplifier. These puppies are the perfect replacement for your stock door speakers!

I have these in my dash and would recommend putting them in enclosures to get the full effect of these. great speakers though, they handle the head unit's 20 watts RMS no problem. I will be adding an amp for these soon, as well as an additional set of 6x8 speakers run by the same amp to fill out the sound.
I recommend these speakers..

These little 4" speakers surprised me with how loud they are. I originally had an old pair of Kenwood eXcelon 4 inchers installed in the dash of my '92 Mercedes 190E but after filling the rest of the car with Boston Acoustics (SX50s, SL60s, SX55s, and 2 8" Rally Series Subs) I figured I might as well finish off with these. They dropped right in to the factory holes, and the tweeters were low enough that the factory covers easily fit over them. They were so much louder than the Kenwoods that I had to readjust the balance on my head unit to get the sound centered again. Great quality, for a great price!! Highly recommended!

These were the best sounding 4" speakers I've ever heard. I've tried out all sorts of 4" speakers in my car and hands down, the best. I could no longer keep them installed due to the depth being over 2".

I installed these in a 1983 Mercedes 380SL. The speakers have a low enough profile that the OEM grills for the car will fit over them after install. This an issue on the 70-80's Mercedes SL series. Using only these 2 speakers (as the car has to be modified to add more) the sound is good considering. All in all they are good speakers for the price and the form factor is a big plus...
