The unit increases the preamp level being delivered to the amplifiers. By increasing the pre-amp level signal you allow your system to balance better and get more 'juice' out of your amplifiers.
The unit can also be used when hooking up an external device such as a CD changer or Satellite tuner to your head unit. Sometimes the volume is too low on the head unit when the external device is playing. The unit is used to increase the volume to match that of the radio.
- Increases the preamp level being delivered to the amplifiers
- S/N ratio of 96 dB for high quality sound
- Average draw is less than 15 milliamps
- Adjustable from 0.1 to a 15dB increase
- As many as 10 amps can be driven off one Turbo 1.
Works with all amplifiers with RCA-type connector including: Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC, Sony, Clarion, Blaupunkt, Pioneer, Eclipse, JVC, Panasonic, Rockford, Sanyo
Works in any make car with aftermarket amplifier or head unit including: Ford, GM, Chrysler, Dodge, Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab, Toyota and Volkswagan.

I have three of these being used in my car. Two are used to amplify my iPod so that it has the same sound level as my CD does in my stock stereo. The other is used for extra boost on my sub woofers. Both work great. Although I have heard from professionals that this product can reduce the sound quality of music, I have not found this to be an issue. For the price, and assuming the person using it knows what they are doing, I would highly recommend buying this product if it fits the needs your looking for.

I record our church services to DVD. I have a cable from our sound board's house mix for the audio input but the volume level was too low for viewing and listening on some TVs. The PAC TURBO-1 allows me to increase the volume to adequate levels for recording while not taking up much space on my already-crowded equipment table. The quality of the sound is quite good. It works well in my application and I heartily recommend it. I just don't know how they can sell them so cheap!
