When replacing your factory radio with an after-market car stereo, the Scosche GM07B wire harness is a must for a quick and clean installation. It eliminates cutting your OE radio plug. After connecting it, your install is simple as the wires will color-match and easily connect to the after-market stereo. Without the Scosche GM07B, you would have to cut the OE radio plug and manually test each wire to connect to your after-market receiver.

This does the job; however if you wish to retain accessory power after the car is turned off or some of the other features in your GM vehicle, you may need a special box. You should do some research and see if you vehicle uses the GM dock and Lock system, if so you will likely need the box to retail all features of your car.
