Good radio for long distance reception
Good: Receives stations from long distances away - stations that my
component stereo receiver couldn't.
Separates stations that are close in frequency on AM with
WIDE/NORMAL switch.
Bad: Impossible to see dial scale except in bright light - needs light. I
opened the case and painted the scale back plate white so I could
see the numbers. Completely overloads on strong nearby stations
- could use a local-distance switch.

This is the second unit that I have purchased. I love this radio for the beach or just around the house. Great reception and sound.

I needed a radio that could be used in a remote area of New Mexico.
All of the radios I tried were not good enough to receive the stations
I liked to hear.
I read the reveiws you had and it showed promise.
It is a great radio and delivered all you promised.

Subject product in use in a location in a northern state. Reception is very weak. Will require an external antenna in order to achieve fair reception and not certain of that. There is constant frequency drift and requires very frequent adjustment to remain near true frequency, and is virtually impossible to keep tuned. The dial is not lit which is more than annoying at all times, and is impossible with dim light. All in all it does not do the job, is difficult to operate and adjust, can't see the dial, and is not being used. Might be OK in the middle of a city.
