The new Murdered Out Subwoofer series from Audiobahn combines the high-end motor structure of a great bass producer with the shallow mounting depth that allows them to be utilized in more of today’s compact vehicle installations. Audiobahn’s product design department has developed a new proprietary 3D flame basket design that reduces the overall mounting depth but still maximizes the low-end frequency reproduction. The designers also paired this with a cone material and design that reduces distortion from flexing. The Murdered Out Subwoofer Series is built to perform and designed to excite.
Powder Coated Outer Chassis: The new Murdered Out series subwoofers feature an advanced cooling and protective outer layer. The powder coated exterior is superior to a conventional liquid paint because powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form which can reduce the heat dissipation of the subwoofers drive mechanism. This outer “skin” provides a hard finish that is also tougher than conventional paint.
Cone Material and Design: These subwoofers feature a molded, texture injected, poly cone with an EPDM rubber surround. The cone design is highlighted by the ultra-embossed Audiobahn logo which helps provide the rigidity that prevents low-frequency response distortion during deep bass notes. The weather resistant surround helps maintain linear travel of the cone and accurate musical reproduction.
Multi-Connect Lug Lock Terminals: Audiobahn’s patented Multi-Connect Lug Lock Terminals offer increased versatility in wiring multiple subwoofers to an amplifier or to another voice coil. Multi-Connect terminals allow you to use single wire connections in each terminal rather than combining multiple wires into one terminal. This feature allows you to use a full 8-gauge wire in each terminal.

Great sound, but very weak durability!
Had Audiobahn 8" DVC Sub and had if for 2 years. After blowing the 1st one I decided since it was so good to me, I would go for another one.
Unfortunately after 2 weeks this one blew out and would be the last product I get from them.

I used this low-profile, driver as a passive sub with a 130 hz crossover, in a small custom-built sealed cabinet designed to fit under a car seat in a very small space. For this project, limited mounting depth and DVC (for left and right channel) capability were primary considerations. The AMW80H did the trick. It fills in the bottom as well as you'd expect for an 8" sub, in spite of the low profile. Bass is quite clean and musical in spite of the passive circuit and crossover. I can't speak to it's durability or longevity, since it's only been in service a couple of months.

Replaced the stock 6 1/2 inch woofer in my Jeep Wrangler factory subbox in my center console. Trimmed up the box (won't be using a 6 1/2 inch woofer ever again) and sealed up with 3/4 inch foam insulation after partial fill of the box with fiber insulation. With the stock radio this installation now has the bass needed to be heard over highway noise - the stock one did not. Won't win any stereo competition, but sure make a big difference in the sound!
