Unlike most manufacturers, Kicker UNDERRATES their amplifiers. Nearly all their competitors overrate their amps which makes this ZX400.1 at 400 watts RMS equivalent to other brands who rate their amps at 600 watts RMS or even 750 watts! Each Kicker amplifier includes a "birth sheet" that details the extensive testing done by Kicker before they send them out to us, and ultimately you! Each one is guaranteed to perform at the minimum manufacturer specs and as stated above, most blow these specs away!
The Kicker brand of amplifiers provide nothing but high-end quality. They don't mess around with "entry" level quality. They take pride in their name and only aim to produce top-notch goods. Being that this is a closeout though, you can definitely say you are getting a high-end quality amp at an entry level price. This amp should last you many years and Kicker backs it by a 2-year warranty to show you they know it will.
The ZX400.1 includes a bass remote so you can control the bass level from the front seat. In addition to controlling the bass with ease, you also get a variable low pass filter to cut out certain lows frequencies/sounds that you simply do not want to hear. Because this amplifier is a Class D amp, it will be sure to send your subwoofer*(s) all it/they can handle, and do it while staying cooler than others on the market.

this amp was great i hooked it to a kicer cvr10 and a jl 12 1v2 and i couldnt even breathe in my explorer it pushed both with no problem

This amp is a perfect amp. I have it powering a dc sound lab lvl 2 12 subwoofer and this pounds in a ported box. The birth sheet the amp came with says it is rated at 500 watts so I got 100 watts free. It doesn't get hot one bit.

Awesome little amp, my birth sheet says 550 watts. You always get more than you pay for with kicker. Easy to hide and pushes 2 tens or 1 fifteen perfectly.

I bought this amp to push a 10" kicker sub in my Expedition and never have to even heat it up to feel plenty of bass. Definitely recommend it!
