Accu-Cross Crossovers for Sound Shaping
The Gods have struck again from Mt. Olympus. The famous Brutus amplifier has gone through a redesign and now features a new look along with amazing sound. The design for the new Brutus BRX amplifiers has a blue illuminated underglow that gives the amplifier a floating appearance when properly mounted.
The molded and angled illuminated terminals add to the stylish design and also provide stress-free installation access. Accu-Cross crossovers allow for adjustments and sound shaping. The Ultra-Fi MOSFET power supplies ensure the amplifier can maximize its sound capabilities. The new Brutus BRX amplifiers take it to the next level, and are certainly a brutal amplifier.
Molded and Angled Illuminated Terminals
The full-range multi-channel Brutus BRX amplifiers all feature Super A/B Class technology. This complex circuitry was initially developed purely for the flagship Mt. Olympus amplifiers – however this superior technology was passed on to the Brutus line as well. This efficient circuitry allows for maximum sound quality while also ensuring maximum efficiency.
Initially Brutus amplifiers were only monoblock amplifiers by Hifonics, however for 2013 they deicded this amplifier series was too good to pass up, and added two-channel and four-channel alternatives to their purely subwoofer filled lineup. These new stylish multi-channel amplifiers were welcomed with open arms by the car audio industry, and have performed extremely well on the market since being released.

Great Amp for the money
Dollar for Dollar best 4 channel amp I've ever owned. Will over heat without a fan on at 80% or more. Eliminated with fan I installed. Pushing 4 Diamond audio 5x7's component door speakers with 8 tweeters in my F150 supercab. Will make your ears bleed.

This amp does have a lot of power. But it does tend to heat up and shut off, even with the 4 fans I put on the back of it. Four 2 inch fans. Still gets hot and shuts off, running it at 4 ohms. Even though it has this issue I plan to get another one.

Great amp! I have it running 2sets of Pioneer 6x9 5ways, 2 sets of Pioneer 4way 6.5 and 2sets of 1" dome tweeters. Had some initial issues adjusting the sound and finding room to mount three amp but once those issues were resolved its been smooth sailing. Very pleased!

1. Amazing Look
2. Lights Up
Cons:
1. Angled Down Inputs
2. Overheats
3. Mehh Power Output
4. Damages Easily
My Experience with this AMP... Wow. Terrible.
My Setup consists of: 0 Gauge from battery to 150 AMP Fuse (11-12" from battery) 0 Gauge from Fuse to 2.5 Farad Capacitor (Cap has 0 Gauge Ground) 4 Gauge from Cap to AMP (AMP has 4 Gauge Ground)
This was powering my SubWoofers (Yes, I know it's a 4Channel AMP, I'll explain why)
The FIRST AMP I got I stupidly wired it down to .5 Ohms, Slapped a little bit, then it threw itself into Protect, then totally killed itself and the lights/power LED flickered until I cut all power and took it out of my car and requested the RA.
The SECOND Replacement AMP I got, was not Brand New. It was a refurbished AMP, that was also not the one I sent back. (Second AMP had two Warranty Stickers on it, one broken.) I kept it at 2Ohms and it worked for a couple weeks. Then it as well died. This time, it just didn't turn on. It had Power according to my Multimeter, and the Remote was giving it Power. As a test, I did run a bypass from the 12v to the Remote, but it stayed off.
ANOTHER THING I NOTICED: While my Subs aren't all that great (12" MTX Terminators) My Dual Electronics 800Watt AMP and this 1200Watt Hifonics AMP, Hit about the same... The 800Watt having about ~100RMS While the 1200 SHOULD have had ~600.
SonicElectronix the RAs flawlessly, I now know to stay away from atleast THIS Hifonics AMP.
As to why I have a 4 Channel AMP on my Subwoofers, I am currently in the middle of buying a nicer car (Honda to a BMW) I don't have it fully in my possession, but I planned on buying some "upgrades" for my Honda, that I could take out and reuse in the BMW.
The Plan was:
2 HiFionics BRX1200.4 for Mids/Highs (Total of 10 Speakers)
2 Brutus 2000Watt Mono Amps
2 15" Kicker L7s
All Audio Dampened, Etc.
2 YellowCap batteries (One Main, one Backup)
2 Alternators, Was looking into Mechman, but I'd have to get a custom mount, plus don't know if I can actually fit them in the BMW.

This amplifier is the best you can get for this price. The terminals may be at a 45 degree angle or so but it actually is not a problem at all. I Have played this amplifier for 4 hours straight and the amplifier is not near getting hot. I highly recommend this amplifier to who wants quality sound at an affordable price. No problems at all. This was the best 4 channel amplifier i have ever had. Hifonics is really doing better with the BRX Series.

To me, the multi channel amp is what makes the system. If your system sucks without a sub, it will suck with a sub. Finding both great value, and great performance out of a multi channel amp seems to be very hard these days. I took a chance on this amp and installed it to two sets of MB Quart premiums,(pvm216). It rocks!!!! It's delivering every ounce of its rated power, and its doing so without going into its protect circuit after long periods of use,(hours). More than enough power to push any component set that I can think of. I'd put this amp up against anything on the market even at 3 times its price point. No, its not a Zapco c2k4, but its not $1500 either. The only negative is the control knobs from 1983. You need a screwdriver to adjust them. If building an amp rack with multiple amps, plan accordingly.

The only big downfall to this amp is that it gets very hot. I guess another downfall is that it is rather large. However, I am running it full force pushing 4 tweeters and 4 6x9s. It does the job and is very nice looking with the new lighting features. I'd recommend it to any one who needs some extra power but doesn't have a lot of money. I've used Hifonics for years and have always been happy with them.
