Capacitor Specifications

Capacitance (farads)
Capacitors are rated in farads, and at times microfarads or millionths of a farad. The more farads the capacitor is rated at, the more electrical charge (and wattage) the capacitor will hold. Capacitance is defined as the property of storing an electrical charge between two separate conductors.
3 farads
LCD Meter Display
Displays the current voltage and/or other specification on an LCD readout.

Maximum Input Gauge Size
This is the largest gauge wire that will fit into the power and ground terminals of this device. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire is. For example, a 4 gauge wire is thicker than an 8 gauge wire and thus has higher current carrying capacity. Always do your best to get this size wire to reduce the risk of damage to your components.
1/0 AWG
Maximum Output Gauge Size
This number refers to the maximum size of wire that will fit into the output connector(s) of the capacitor, battery terminal, or any other connector with an wire output.

I bought the T-Spec V8 so that my light would not flicker anymore. Not only did it do the trick, but now the bass from the sub sounds even cleaner! It also looks pretty awesome. I would recommend it.

I have owned multiple brands of capacitors and this one has helped regulate my voltage much better than my old rockford and boss audio capacitors. It looks cool in the trunk and has helped my system a ton. The only downfall is that the voltage display tends to turn off for a minute here and there but then it comes back.

Im running 1500 watts rms on a Hifonics amp and noticed my headlights dimming when it was cranked so I decided to buy this even though everybody says Caps are a waste and don't do anything but this thing made the dimming lights go away so I'm satisfied. Caps don't really make the subs louder just improve the amps voltage so you recieve a cleaner signal. Anyway the distribution block on this thing is why I bought it and makes the install a hell of a lot easier! Overall 10/10 no problems. Thanks

The capacitor works great, reduced dimming of the lights on my boat while paying the radio with the solo 15. But received the capacitor with the outer wrap ripped and scratched up. Didn't want to wait for replacement so tour off wrapping and went with it.

I replaced a 1.5F cap with this one. This one has more capacity and it shows. My light don't dim as much and my bass sounds more powerful.

I am running a total of 6400 Watts (that's what the amp manufacturer says, it's less) my lights would dim extremely on heavy base. I had done the big 3 which made a huge difference but still dimming lights at half volume. My sentra charges at 14.6 and at 3/4 volume I'll drop to 13.1 without dimming (I used the same song). There are those that say caps are useless, I'm sold. This has worked for me. Plus it looks killer mounted in trunk. Now I can rattle my car apart one song at a time. No complaints with this product. Heavy gauge in and out was a plus.

Great Buy

January 7, 2016

I purchased the T-Spec-V8-3DDC capacitor for my truck and I'm very satisfied with my purchase, after doing some research about the different types of capacitor This particular model caught my eye and i didn't know they made capacitor for V-6 and V-8 engines specifically and it was very easy to connect to my existing system after removing my old 1.0 fared capacitor I must say I'm very impressed with how well my system sounds after adding the T-spec-V8-3DDC it handles 3,000 watts very well I recommend this product for anyone who's looking to add a 3.0 fared compacitor for V-8 or V-6 engine.

can this accept 0 gauge wire?
A shopper on Apr 15, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, you will have to remove the 4 gauge conversion sleeve though. Just remove the set screw that clamps the wire, pull out the conversion sleeve, and then put the set screw back. It is a snug fit for the 0 gauge wire.

Best Answer: Hello Austin,

Although you've gotten GREAT feedback, Please take the information you are receiving for what it is; Generalized opinions. Unless these individuals are part of your project, there is no absolute way of knowing for sure (100%) that you aren't going to 'have any electrical problems' . Yes, the setup is a great approach, but no one knows the condition of your vehicle Or the many components in it, how the install is going to be done, etc.. We are sure it will all work out great, but we want to make sure you plan accordingly, and understand that these are all opinions, great ones at that. =]

how long does it take to charge??.. im putting it in a 98 subaru outback and hooking up to a rockford fosgate r1200-1d monoblock amp with two 12in hifonics brutus subs
justin s on Aug 18, 2016
Best Answer: Using the light bulb resistor that is supplied just tape one end to the power cable and either touch the other end or a tap another wire and insert into the capacitor. You will see then the voltage screen start to increase once it's around 12.6-12.9 it's fully charged. Leave your car off while charging, it will display around 14 when the car is running and fully connected and setup. its was all of 30 seconds to a minute to charge

where do the negative leads hook up to? both go to ground?
A shopper on Sep 27, 2014
Best Answer: Each major equipment gets its own separate ground.

I do not know why this terminal has 2 (-) ports.. you will only use 1 for ground.
