Melted

September 9, 2013

Had this for about 2 months. Not sure when it melted, but it was pretty bad. It was a little close to the engine, but still. Dangerous

Protect your Gear!

August 5, 2016

You spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on your sound system and thousands (hopefully not hundreds) on you ride - Why risk it all on skimping on an eleven dollar fuse holder and a one dollar fuse? The purpose of an in-line fuse is to protect against shorts in your wiring. If you are running a high power system (any power system, for that matter) through a fat cable (any cable) back to your amps and over time it vibrates against an edge of metal and wears through the insulation, you will develop a short. Basically, you will ground out your power wire. Doing so can drain your battery (best case) and creates a lot of heat which could start your ride on fire. At that point, 12 bucks seems like cheap insurance. Buy it, install it within 18 inches of your battery, and sleep well - or rock out all night. These are reasonably priced, do their job well, and are easy to install.

Good quality

I used this zero gauge fuse holder going to a t spec distribution block, it is a little difficult to install the cable into the fuse holder because it has a compression fitting but once you get it installed , it holds very good

Works well, easy to mount under hood, or wherever your battery is. ANL fuses have a variety of amperages and you can use any amp fuse. Good value for the money.

How do you install the wires on this type of fuse holder?
David A on Dec 3, 2014
Best Answer: Basically completely disassemble the the fuse holder. Take one of the plastic screw on ends slide it on to your wire with threaded side towards your wire end. Then take one of the hollow bolts and slide it over your wire with the threaded side towards your wire end. Now strip your power wire about one inch down and butterfly out the wire strands evenly. Then slide the hollow bolt up to the strands and fold the wire strands down over the hollow bolt and trim the wire strands just to the top of the threads of the hollow bolt. Now it gets to be little trial and error part. Add a little electrical grease to the wire strands this makes it way easier to make your final connection. Finally take one of the threaded female ends and screw in your prep hollow bolt by finger once threads are aligned and going in straight take 2 wrenches and snug the connection basically until the threads bottom out. Now you will have the one awesome solid cold connections. Hpoe this works for you.
