I picked a set of these PCE 216 MB Quart`s up from Sonic Electronix after reading several reviews online and finally got around to putting them in my 2003 VW GTI this week. To start off with the installation was a snap, the Mid Bass/Mid range driver droped into place with no problems at all and the tweeter gave me several mounting options so I was able to place them in the factory position beheind the stock grill. Now for the fun part, I`m powering these with a Pioneer Premier PRS-D4100F with 75 watts RMS per speaker ( using the Bi-Amp mode on the passive x-over ). The mid bass form these speakers is awesome!! I listened to a wide range of my favorite mid bass music just blown away!! very tight and quick and with quite a bit of lowend on them also..( x-over low pass set at 70hz ). Now for the tweeters, most of the reviews that I have read about 90% of them say that the tweeters are too bright and tend to be harsh.. but these were some of the smoothest/best sounding tweeters I have heard, and the Imaging on them is dead locked on!! ( I have them mounted off axis ). So if your Into SQ and love great Imaging... Jump on them while Sonic Electronix still has them in stock!!

I recently purchased this a week ago, It took me a little over a day to install these into my car. Between running the wires in through the doors and under the carpet it was a pain, but the outcome was well worth it.. im running about 125 Watts Rms into these and they sound awesome and are free of distortion all the way to full volume.. A+++

You can't beat the sound quality. I run 115 watts RMS through High pass on my amp. These run distortion free at full volume. Don't expect bass from any component, get a sub, and let these MB Quarts scream! I have two pairs and would recommend them to anyone.
