I bought this around November/December. This is a great sub... and for only $100, you definitely can't go wrong. I wouldn't consider this an "entry level sub". I have it hooked up to polk c500.1 mono amp in a sealed enclosure. I had it hooked up to a c400.4 (bridged) but that was only because the monoblock took longer to ship. The difference in performance was very noticeable, btw. This is a hard hitting sub and can handle up to 100+ more watts than its rated at. It also doesn't weigh too much nor does it need a huge box. I'd recommend this sub to anybody and everybody looking for clean sound... actually, ALL of Polk's products are excellent quality.
oh and this baby can take a beating!
