Since the beginning of time (or so it seems) Sony has been making just about everything a person could use in their household, at work, and everything in between. Not that Sony has been a "Me Too" brand, because that is actually the opposite of the Sony mentality. Sony has been a Pioneer, paving the road for many of those brands who are not brave enough to venture in to new territories, and exploring new ideas. Sony has also played a huge roll in trying to improve the way we experience our everyday lives. As many Americans have become educated to the effects of fast food consumption, and have learned to watch what they eat, Sony too has embraced ways to provide better experiences in living healthy. Sony's Fit and Active Sports products are not only the best in the industry, they are made for people like each and every one of us. They were engineered with specific materials to provide us with a better running experience, sweat resistant materials like these Sony MDR-AS41EX series earbuds. The Sony MDR-AS41EX/B provides users with all the same benefits of its predecessor the MDR-AS40EX (MDRAS40EX), like the comfortable flexible ear hangers, and the included portable carrying case, but there were some improvements made as well. Sony listened to feedback that they got on the MDR-AS40EX, and implemented the desires into the new model, the MDR-AS41EX/B. With three pairs of different sized ear hangers, and ear tips, users are sure to find the perfect fit. The sound ... well its hard to beat the MDR-AS40EX, but in true Sony fashion they delivered and "1 Upped" themselves. The MDRAS41EX series ear buds have an even broader frequency response tuned to deliver even deeper and more powerful bass levels. It doesn't get much better than this, so get with the program, and get even better sound performance from your earphones while your aspire to be even healthier. Great Earbuds
I have never seen these before, I hadn't seen them on Sony's site, but they are great! I had the Sony MDR-AS40EX for about a year. They were Perfect! I really have no complaints about that one. But I guess they don't make it anymore, and the people trying to sell the few that are left are really killing the price. I got mine for $35 and now they are trying to sell for $45-$60. too much. they were great and all, but again the reason I HAD to buy another pair is they broke. Granted, it was my fault when they phone fell off the bench at the gym it separated in the left ear and wouldn't work anymore. I don't want to spend $60 on something I might very well do the same thing to. At any rate, these must be the new model, they sure do look like the old ones. But I think the mids and bass is a little bit clearer on these. There just seems to be more of a presence on the bottom end with these AS41EX's. They feel a little bit stronger at the ear tip too where my old ones broke. Either that, or the old ones were like this and just wore in over the year or so I used them. I also do like the all black look more than the silver and black on the AS40EX. They fit really nice, comfortable, great for the gym or if your going for a little jog. Definitely recommend these!

These are decent earbuds, but nothing that is going to blow you away. The cord comes in two sections, the short main piece and a long extension which I like since I put my mp3 player and phone in my shorts pocket when I am working out. Has different buds for sizing as well as arms for around your ears, though I found the one already attached to be the best. The case is cool, but who uses them? Overall the sound is decent, I used them on an international flight to watch movies and they had good overall sound, but using them for music which I play loud, they were just like most any other earbuds on the market.
