Sennheiser is a name that is synonymous with audiophile products. They have been viewed as a premium, top-tier (dare we say "The" top-tier?) brand since the beginning of time. Laboratorium Wennebostel's time that is. In 1945, Prof. Dr. Fritz Sennheiser founded Laboratorium Wennebostel's, or "Lab W" in a pleasant half-timbered house. Fritz Sennheiser was born with a gift. When he was 11 years old, he saw an early radio that inspired him to build a crystal radio. Again, he was 11 years old. There was no turning back from that day. The following year after founding "Lab W", Sennheiser produced his microphone. From that point on, it was one success story after the other. Sennheiser's technology continued to improve, and "The Bar" continued to rise. In the mid 60's, Sennheiser released the HD 414, the world's first "Open Headphones". That very day changed the future of headphones forever. That very same headphone, the HD 414, not only helped establish Sennheiser as a leading headphone manufacturer, but it sold over 10 million units. It is the best selling headphone of all time, and Sennheiser had just gotten started.
When you look around, technology has managed to work its way into just about every single persons life. Not that it is a bad thing, its one of the outcomes of people striving to achieve more. Sennheiser is a company founded off of that very concept. Time and time again, Sennheiser went out and achieved more. Changed the way people see many things, new or even very common. The PX 685i is not a brand new idea, just a brand new direction on a very popular concept. The idea of a lightweight "Headband" (not neckband, very common mistake) Headphone was a very popular thing when portable audio became possible. Mainly paired with their corresponding AM/FM radio, CD player, etc., they were built for people who want to be able to listen to their music, while minimizing their potential restrictions. A walk, run, or jog isn't quite as enjoyable when your ear is sweating more than the rest of your body. Lets face it, it just flat out feels awkward. Sennheiser took this concept, and went all in. Better than ever, this oldie is the newest goodie.
If you have ever been a fan of sports, outdoor activities, going to the gym, or even Physical Education (P.E.) class, then chances are you are familiar with a little brand called Adidas. Chances are, 2 of the 3 people closest to you during these activities are currently sporting the brand. The main reason is Adidas is sort of the unofficial sporting goods leader. Since the beginning of time, Adidas (from Adolf or "ADI" Dassler or "DAS" the founder, ADI-DAS) has been supporting athletes and providing them with better, more effective sporting equipment. It should come as no surprise to see Sennheiser partner with a sporting goods world leader when they went after one of the most popular ideas ever. Sennheiser and Adidas were going to partner to manufacture the best all around headphones and best earbuds for athletes, sports usage, and gym goers. The result of this brilliant partnership, perfection. Headphones and Earbuds that can endure the torment that athletes will put them through. Headphones & Earbuds that can be washed, and rinsed clean after hours of dripping sweat, through incredibly humid weather. Durable & flexible building materials made to adjust and perform in the toughest environments. Adidas was not the only providing benefits here, because anyone who has ever owned a pair of Sennheiser headphones knows exactly how serious they take their sound. As always, premium audiophile grade acoustics we used in every single model. The PX 685i Headphones feature open acoustics within their in-ear design. This allows users to hear outside noise without the need to remove their headphones. Runners can rest assured, the open acoustics provide outside sound waves with a nice entrance to help make listeners aware of any sounds that may require your attention, or reaction. The icing on the cake is the built-in remote control and microphone. Nothing is worse than stopping your exercise to pull your phone out of your pocket to answer a phone call, or change the track to something a little more motivating. Now, clearing the call (or answering if you really want to) on your iPhone, or changing the track on your iPod is as simple as pressing a button on your remote. Don't ever forget, good things come to those who wait. But wait no longer, because dreams have come true.

Awesome Product !!
I've recently purchased this headset and I have to say, it is extremely awesome !! I can turn the sound up while in a quiet library and it cannot be heard AT ALL. I did a test just to see how loud I could turn it up without it being heard because I've had headphones in the past that you can hear music even at a quiet level while they are in your ears. Not these headphones. Even when they are out of your ears at a louder than normal volume, music still cannot be heard. They are the best I've ever owned !!

I recommend these headphones for running and other high-impact forms of exercise. They sound great, stay secure in your ears, and are very durable--probably the best running headphones I've found, and I've tried a lot of different brands and models.

I own the Sennheiser CX 685 ear buds and Sony MDR-EX210 ear buds. The Sennheiser sound better than the Sony. But both of these do not stay in my ear at the gym no matter which size buds I use. I purchased this PX 685 so I don't have to worry about that any longer. They sound great for the price, with a good equalizer app they sound even better. They do have lesser bass than the CX 685, but only because they aren't stuffed inside your ear canal like the ear buds. The only con I can think of is the pouch that comes with it. They are a tight fit and the velcro will rip the foam pads off. So either avoid using the pouch or go on Ebay and purchase spare foam rubber pads for a few bucks.

Ear buds don't fit in my ears so running with music has been impossible. This product works great for me. It stays on my head when running and the volume adjustment, stop music, skip song option is great and easy to use while running.
