2-Channel High-Level to Low-Level Signal Converter

The RF-HLC is a 2-channel high-level to low-level signal converter designed for factory or aftermarket radios that do not have dedicated low-level RCA outputs. The adapter converts high-level signal from the radio's speaker line and transforms it into a safer low-level audio signal. This allows you to add a 4-channel amplifier to your system for higher power output and better sound quality.

General Features:

  • 2-Channel High-to-Low Level Converter
  • High-to-low signal converter to connect 4-channel amplifiers to radios without RCA output
  • Output Voltage: Up to 3V (low-level)
  • Mounting: Behind dash
  • Signal Output: Low level audio signal
  • Dimensions: 1-9/16"W x 3-1/2"D x 1"H
  • Authorized Internet Dealer
  • 1-year Manufacturer's Warranty

Number of Channels
Each channel on an amplifier will power one speaker using a positive and negative cable. There are various types of amplifiers, each designed to power a certain number of speakers. Monoblock amplifiers, also known as single channel, are designed to power one or more subwoofers. These amplifiers often have very high power ratings. On the other hand, multi-channel amplifiers power multiple speakers, usually at lower power ratings. 2-Channel and 4-Channel amplifiers can power car speakers or low powered subwoofers. Occasionally you might see a 5 or 6-channel amplifier that can power speakers and subwoofers at the same time. The most common setup is a monoblock amp to run subwoofers and a 4-channel amp to run door speakers. Check out our Knowledge Base for more information.

I looked at several amps & found this one to fit my needs. Its small size & rms rating made it the perfect choice. Pushes my Kicker 10 right out of the box with plenty of room for more bass later

Does this Line out converter require a power connection at all ?
A shopper on Jul 9, 2016
Best Answer: No, connect to rear speakers and ground out to frame or other designated ground area (if there is noise/interference in the sound). works well, I have 6x9 Kicker 3-ways in rear, 2-way 6 1/2 in front, extra tweets in front, 3000wtt amp, 2 Farad capacitor, Ti12D series sub in a L.A.B Slapbox made just for the sub from California.
