Sonic Sub Box: 1BV12 (Gray)

Enclosure is real nice! I could have made a better choice on the subs that I installed, but was satisfied by the amount money I spent. The box didn't really perform with my choice of sub, but it has potential. Excelent box!

i put this in my ford ranger and it hits harder then my sealed that was in it before. my seats shake now! it hits deep and low but not too much in the highs. Plexiglas is a little thin and could be bigger but overall its great!!

I like this product very much. It is simple and functional. I have found no cons to this product so far. I would definitely recommend this product to someone.

I've owned a bunch of different boxes for my alpine type x and this one is by far the best ive ever had. The plexi glass is SUPER strong and not only does it make your sub hit way harder.. It allows you to turn down your amp a little because believe me this ported bandpass works well, and second, your trunk rattling problems will be solved!! Granted there is some small vibration the box literally eats 90% of the rattle before it even reaches car metal. Loud clean bass. 10 out of 10.

Best part of the box is definitely its appearance. Entire box is not 3/4" mdf, certain panels are 5/8". The worst part is the plexiglass is only 3/8" - way too thin for all the pressure this bandpass box tries to create. Flexing of any panels = less bass & muddier sound. (anyone that has used particle board boxes or dynamat on their trunk knows this). I modified my box with dynamat extreme on all the panels on the ported side and doubled up the plexiglass for the sealed side, HUGE difference.

Sound quality is pretty decent, but not meant for all subs though. In my opinion bandpass boxes for most 12's should be at least 30% bigger than these to hit the ultra, ultra lows.

If you have box building skills, design & build the ideal box for whatever subs you have for best results, if you don't mind modifying this box, then, for the price this box is ideal but it is what it is.
