Great unit but....
This Kenwood DDX771HD unit is great. Love the output, features, and the fact that it is easy to use. Kenwood could improve the duability of the flip screen, however. Still works, but it became loose within the first 60 days. Maybe I am old school (51 years old), but a little more integrity could go a long way here. Maybe its that way with all electronics these days.

I love this unit , it is simple to set up and use. I am having trouble getting my phone apps to show on the screen, but I think I have a bad connection and not the unit itself. sounds great, looks great with a custom background picture.

I had this headunit roughly about 8 months, and I loved the features and the design of it ,until the plastic panel around the unit started to not sit flush. And the plastic that sits above the buttons were wrapped. My car is normally in the garage other then work; at work its in the shade. So I decided to call Kenwood and see if they can help me. Unfortunately, it cannot be covered under warranty due to physical damage. Well, if they had used better material this would never happen. So they informed me to sent the headunit in Audio Video Labs in VA, the shipping and repair has to replaced and billed to me. Kenwood said they will be coving anything. So just stay away from kenwood products because they warranty is terrible and so is their product.

found this helpful.Great until it failed
I owned this unit from Feb 2015 til nov 2015. It worked great. no issues with the UI, build exterior etc. My Rca outputs failed and were looping ground noise. I replaced it with an old DEH-11 pioneer and had 0 looping. Kenwood is not honorable about their warranty unless bought directly through them sadly. sonic so far has helped me with the defect.
