Progressive Scan
Progressive Scan Technology is a way that an image is displayed. In a moving image, each line of a frame is displayed in sequence. This results in a smooth, clearer image.
Audio Channels
This is the number of audio channels that the home theater system includes. And example of this would be "5.1". The "5" designates that there are 5 surround sound speakers. The "1" indicates that the systems includes a subwoofer.
Vocal Enhancer
Built-in enhancer adds definition to the microphone output.
Digital Key Control
The unique feature allows the key of the music to be adjusted in small increments without affecting the overall tempo of the song. Slight changes in the key can help those singing along be "on key".
AM/FM Tuner
Most in-dash CD players have AM/FM playback allowing you listen to your favorite local radio stations.
Rack Mountable
Some units can be mounted to a rack for organization and convenience.
Remote Control
Allows control of specific features and functions from a remote control. Typically they are used to prevent button wear on your radio, or to allow easier navigation of menus.

DVD & Audio Playback

Dolby Digital Decoding
Dolby Digital is a way that audio is coded to store and transfer superior audio sound much more efficiently. A Dolby Digital Decoder allows this audio to play in conventional stereo outputs.
DTS output
DTS stands for Digital Theater System. It is a format used for multi-channel digital surround systems.
MP3
The unit offers MP3 playback.

MP3 should not be confused with MPEG-3. MP3 files are the third audio layer of a MPEG-1 file. The compression algorithm of a MP3 file reduces the file size while keeping the audio quality.

DVD
The unit will play DVD discs.
DVD-R/RW
The unit will play DVD-R and DVD-RW discs.
MPEG-1 (VCD)
The unit will play Video Compact Discs (VCD). VCD are videos that are stored on regular compact discs (CD) and use a MPEG-1 compression.

Speaker Features

Speaker Size
Refers to the size of the speaker measured in inches. Every vehicle has standard application sizes. Please use our vehicle fitment guide for your vehicle's specific speaker sizes if you do not know them.
Tweeter Design
Designs such as cone, dome, semi-dome, balanced dome, and whizzer are most popular. Cone tweeters are simple, efficient and typically are the most reasonably priced. Dome tweeters are used in most home speakers, and provide a smoother and more accurate sound. Semi-dome design is one with a dome placed inside a cone. A Balanced dome driver is a semi-dome with equal reproduction area given the cone and dome portions of the driver. A whizzer tweeter is a separate tweeter cone driven by the voice coil of the woofer.
Impedance (Per Voice Coil)
The load value (in ohms) that the speakers present to the amplifier per voice coil - the amount of resistance to the current flow. This is a key specification as subs wired in parallel or low impedances can create problems with your amplifier and potentially void all warranties. We encourage you to ask our support department prior to purchase if you do not understand which impedance level will suit your application best.
Speaker Grilles
A grating or screen of metal or plastic bars or wires, mounted in front of a speaker as protection. If yes, the speakers will include matching speaker grilles. If no, there are no grilles included.

Does this machine has a headphone output?
Kaybee on Sep 10, 2014
Best Answer: Hello Kaybee,

It does NOT. However, if you don't wish to simultaneously send signal to an external speaker AND to the headphones [i.e. JUST to the headphones], then I'd suggest simply using the rear RCA outs and an RCA to 3.5mm Female adapter - like the one linked below - to use headphones.
