Excellent sub period...

This is a great subwoofer. I have two on a 1.2 ft. sealed enclosure. I'm only feeding them 600 watts RMS with an Alpine amp(MRP-M650 mono) wired the subs at 2 ohms. From rock to hip hop to jazz to salsa pop you name it. This subs delivers. The bass is accurate and sq is great too. If you come across one. Buy it and you will not be disappointed.

Blew my expectations away

I started with 2 infinity kappa 10's in a slot ported box in the trunk of my Chrysler 300M. Due to the ultra padded rear seats; it takes a lot of watts and cone area to get the sound and SPL to the cab of the car. I wanted to get the usage of my trunk and flow through with the seats down should i ever transport anything long, so I built a .85 cu ft sealed fiberglass box to fit behind the right tail light. I inserted the low Q insert into this 12" sub and BAM, sounds better AND louder than the 2 10's. Completely blew me away.

Great Product

Running two of these in a sealed .75 cu/ft/each enclosure custom built for a 2005 Impreza on a Infinity KAPPA ONE amplifier.

Bought these with the intention of listening to rock music requiring sound quality rather than just power. My aim was to put together something that would put out more power then I wanted so I would never need to drive them hard.

All of my expectations were met with these subs. They give accurate, solid and deep sound that works well with the rest of my system.

The product was well packaged and comes with a complete manual.

Handle the power, sounds great.

I bought a used one, but it may be even better new. Mine is in a 1.25cu ft sealed enclosure. I think this thing sounds great, follows those close beats very accurately and seems to merge well into my sound system and not sound overbearing or boomy. I originally tested it with a Crown MT-1200 which puts out 1200wRMS and it didn't distort until about 80% volume on bass heavy material which, in car, would probably be hurting your ears.

Right now I have it hooked up to a USAmps USA300 which feeds it about 600wRMS, which seems a good match.

The cone is REALLY stiff... it's literally a formed sheet of metal which means you won't hear any cone breakup; the only distortion you'll get is due to reaching the mechanical excursion limits, which is HUGE at 17mm, meaning peak-to-peak the cone will move almost 1.5"!!

Another good thing about this sub is it's ability to adapt to the enclosure and the instructions are very good about suggesting enclosures and Q inserts. Unfortunately, it may be difficult to fit this into a shallow box since it needs about 7" of depth.

The only bad thing? It's kind of expensive. But the technology and craftsmanship give an idea of why.

Buy for SQ

These subs are pretty good but they dont hit lows that well but the highs and sound quality are amazing. I bought these subs when they were on sale and had them for a while until i sold them to a buddy and now he has them in his pontiac. They sound way better in that then they do in my blazer. They sound a lot louder but they still dont hit all the lows.

Good by for SQ, they last long, look good.

Wouldnt hesitate to recommend this sub to anyone!
