Pyle Home PCA2 80 Watt Mini Power Amplifier

The PCA2 mini stereo power amplifier from Pyle provides up to 40W of power on each channel at 4 Ohms. Connect your inputs using the RCA jacks, and output an amplified audio signal over standard speaker push jacks. It’s compatible with any audio or computer device--you can even hook up an iPod using a 3.5mm to RCA jack converter. A master volume control on the front lets you adjust the gain, and treble, bass, and volume controls on the front let you tweak your sound to exactly how you want it. The PCA2 runs on 110V or 220V with a voltage selector switch.

This amplifier gives you the power and versatility you need to create a professional sound system. Its wide frequency response makes it suitable for amplifying any type of audio, including music or vocals. It can be used in meeting halls, restaurants, schools, stores, and at home --the perfect solution for paging systems anywhere. Get the power you need with 2 x 40 Watt to handle all your audio needs.

Amplifier Specifications

Signal-to-Noise Ratio
This spec compares the strength of the signal to the level of background noise. A higher value indicates less background noise.
75 dB
Frequency Response
The range of frequencies the amplifier will reproduce (lowest frequency to the highest). Bigger is better, meaning the wider the range, the better. The optimal range is 20 - 20,000 Hz (which is the range of human hearing).
Input Sensitivity
This is the input sensitivity of the amplifier.
THD (Total Harmonic Distortion)
The amount of change in harmonic content of the signal as it is amplified. A lower figure indicates less change and a more accurate amp. THD below 0.10% is inaudible.
Voltage Gain
This is the voltage gain of the amplifier measured in decibels.
Cooling Options
These are the different cooling systems used in the amplifier to keep it cool.
Inputs
These are the type of input connections that the amplifier has.

The Pyle Pro PCA2 works very well. I did not have any RCA out on my tv so this and a HDMI to RCA converter did the trick. Only negative is the volume control does not have the range on the low volume end that I would like to have. The lowest volume is still a little high.

The product is an inexpensive amplifier. Mine works as I expected it to work. One month, no problems. I'm not in love with the design but it does what it's supposed to do.
