I installed this in my car 6 months ago and rely on it for my daily commute in Los Angeles. When it works, it's terrific. Unfortunately there are downsides to the service that include what I believe is an unusually long lag-time between startup of my navigation system and the ALP10T and the time it actually gives information on the screen: usually it is 5-10 minutes before I see all of Los Angeles traffic, but Sirius radio is virtually immediate. Another issue is Sirius does not always indicate traffic on the routes I am traveling. I do not know why, but I have to believe CalTrans is supplying the information as they always do because I can get it on other services. As my title says: Usually works well. I wish it always worked perfectly.
