I admit it's a nice looking cap and it worked great for about 4 months. Then I came out from work on a pretty hot afternoon (95F), opened up the truck and got the strongest smell of Ammonia coming from inside. I looked around to see what could be causing this and there was the cap smoking. Just a little bit of smoke drifting up from the Negative Post. AND... So much condensation inside the display that you couldn't see it. The cap was very hot, much hotter than anything else in my truck. It had been working fine up until this event. Now I have my old 500K Farad cap in and it seems to be working fine. Took 3 days to get the Ammonia smell out of my truck. I can't find my receipt. I hope Monster is understanding.

This Capacitor definitely helped with the dimming lights in my car and my subs don't fade out when they hit DEEP bass notes. Sonic Electronix is an amazing company and they help you with any problems that you have. I would definitely recommend this capacitor

I bought this capacitor thinking that it would make my subs hit harder and louder. I was wrong. But nevertheless, this capacitor looks awesome between my two 12" subs. No issues setting up. Same thing happened to me as mentioned above but this is not a big deal.

I bought this capacitor to help with my subwoofer fading and loosing some bass. It does its job and I haven't had any issues with my system since I installed it.
The only problem I had was charging the cap with the provided charging wire. The instructions say to leave it on until it gets to 12 volts, it never reached 12 volts, only 9 volts - not sure what the problem was there. But once I hooked it up to the car the display showed 13 - 14 volts and I tested it with a mutimeter so I know the capacitor is working properly.
Nice looking cap as well.
