Alpine's NVE-N852A navigation system requires a display — it's designed to operate in conjunction with an Alpine video monitor or Mobile Multimedia Station. The KCE-021N adapter converts the multi-pin plug on the NVE-N852A's rear panel, allowing you to send an audio/video signal from the NVE-N852A to a non-Alpine monitor or in-dash video receiver. The adapter also includes a screen switch prompt wire (for use with Alpine monitors) and a remote eye extension cable.
