Huge Bass on a Budget
Who says that you have to spend a lot of money to get some solid bass in your car? The Kicker Comp subwoofer is the perfect subwoofer for those that want some quality subs without breaking the bank.
The Kicker Comp subwoofer incorporates sturdy materials, great looks, and Kicker engineering to produce a subwoofer with fantastic bass. The vacuum formed polymineral cone and polyfoam ribbed surround are double stitched together for the ultimate in durability and strength. The Inverted Structural Dome (ISD) is designed to eliminate unwanted flex in the cone, resulting in clearer and deeper bass. The genius engineers at Kicker have also designed this incredible woofer to work in sealed and vented enclosures, as well as free-air applications. Along the spider you will find the Kicker's Spiralead tinsel-leads, allowing for greater strength and durability of the woofer. Don't let the price on this woofer fool you. You are going to get solid bass with a woofer that is going to last a long time.

I've had a pair of these '07 models since '08, and they were doing light duty in my home theater system with no problems. I recently put them in a Q-logic sealed box, 1.0 cu. ft. each, hooked them up to the 5th channel of a Powerbass ASA1100.5x (250W RMS each) and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! These subs are sweet and they go LOW, and since mine have been broken in for a while, they are just right. Have them low pass crossed over at 75 Hz and they sing, high sensitivity means you don't have to crank the knob to hear them when the family's riding with you. Highly underrated power handling, and they are as musical as subs get. Want to shake the block, get higher power handling, but if you want lows in your music and you run less than 1000W on your sub channel these are the subs to get.

These subs are the lower model of kicker, but in the kicker preloaded ported enclosure, they hit pretty darn hard for the price. They don't get super low, or have excellent sound quality, but they do hit very hard and get loud. If your just looking for a little bump, or to go loud on a budget, I'd recommend these.

I have one of these subs in a 1.75cu.ft ported box tuned to 42hz and it exceeded all my expectations! I'm feeding it 177w RMS via a Rockford Fosgate 2-channel amp. It greatly overpowers my Alpine Type E surround speakers. The bass is very loud and booming, it has a very nice "kick" to it. Not only does this sub play loud but it sounds good. I won 3rd place for SQ in a local competition. I mostly listen to rap; Tech N9ne, Lupe Fiasco, Hopsin, etc.

Purchased these subs along with a Alpine MRP-R500. These things pound. They are very clear too. I also like the fact I was able to fit them in my box, which has only about 5 1/2" of mounting depth.
I would recommend to anyone.
