I bought this along with the T-harness to make for a super clean and easy install. Truck never starts on the first attempt. Always starts on the second attempt. Worked with ADS and they are unable to resolve the issue because they can't figure out how to wake up my truck's canbus to allow for the glowplug status to complete so the truck can start.

Great, small and compact

November 18, 2014

I had a shop install this in a 2003 Acura MDX with a viper remote start system, No alarm. I opened the box and the item was small and compact.

Didnt need to flash/program. Would definitely recommend and buy again if I need one

A must use

September 23, 2012

I've been professionally installing alarms for over a decade now, and have come to depend on idatalink modules. This little guy works wonders. It is great when it is w2w (wire to wire) but this thing is phenomenal when it is d2d (data2data) Not only does it reduce the installation time and effort, it keeps the vehicle 100% OEM. I have personally used this in my 2012 toyota 4runner, and it kept my OEM alarm fully intact and it does every funtion through the datalink. I Love this thing.

Idatalink ADS-AL CA bypass kit

July 4, 2013

All in one bypass kit programs to any vehicle. Easy to install with less wires to hook up compared to other bypass kits. Instructions on how to program to vehicle are very easy to understand. Plus can be re programmed to another vehicle. In thirteen years I have had to problems with this product.

BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK ADAPTER ON THE PLANET!

April 9, 2008

I have installed car stereo and etc for about 14 years professionally. Heck with stocking 100's of adapters, this one will do about 99% of the vehicles on the planet. Easy to follow guide instructions on the companies website. This adapter will save you about 20 wire connections on a vehicle such as a 2007 caravan! BE SURE to get the weblink adapter tho, this unit does not come pre flashed with firmware.

This is the second iDatalink bypass module that I've installed and used in conjunction with a remote start system (Crimestopper RS7-G4). The unit was easily programmed and installed. Vehicle/remote start system integration was seamless. It is reliable and requires no maintenance.

Regarding Sonic Electronix, customer service and support are outstanding. Best prices on the web.

not bad. service

April 23, 2012

The shipping, transaction and care was great. However, the module was either not programmed at all, or was programmed for the wrong vehicle. Lucky a stereo store near home was kind enough to re-flash for the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it all worked out.

what do I need to have an alarm system installed in my car? but only have to use 1 key fob
Georgia C on Feb 4, 2015
Best Answer: I'm assuming your car has keyless entry already.
If that's correct, the easiest way is to install one of these interface modules (go to the idatalink site and pick one that has the features you want). You'll also need an alarm that will interface with module (I used the Autopage CS-665 in my 06 Silverado, and that gave me remote start as well)
I think Autopage and iDatalink are made by the same company, so they work well together, and I've never had any problems with either.
With my setup, I can use either of the 2 remotes that came with the alarm, or my factory keyless entry remote to arm/disarm (lock/unlock). If I recall correctly, install was about 5 wires total, including the remote start.

A word of caution: the iDatalink modules don't necessarily come pre-programmed for your make/model of car. Mine didn't. You can get the programming tool on eBay for about $15. And re-flashing the module is fairly straight forward.
If you're not comfortable doing that yourself, I'm sure you can find a car auto shop that will do it for you, but I'll cost...

Hope this helped.
Good luck

Does the idataLink ADS-AL CA require a dedicated key left in vehicle for remote start. 2013 Mazdza CX-5?

Do I need to purchase a remote start kit to have extended rf range?

Which brand interfaces easily to idataLink ADS-AL CA?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2014
Best Answer: Hi, you can find the info on Idatalink web site for your CX-5. I find the Autopage RS730 Lcd interface easily with Idatalink module, but that all I 've been using. You also need a datalink cable to "flash" the Idatalink module for your particular vehicle. Idatlink tech support is excellent be prepare with the questions as these guys won't have a lot of time. As far as range RS730 lcd rated at 500ft but no obstruction it 's further. The RS 915 model rated close to 1 mile range.

do you program these for specific vehicles?
A shopper on Nov 10, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, but you'll need the programming cable to run to your computer.
As I recall, it was $15 off ebay..
