Best speakers I have owned so far. Great highs and good lows and mids for a 6x9. Sound really clear and hit really hard. Great buy for someone who wants more bass but doesn't want to spend a lot on subs.

I bought a pair for the rear of my BMW with stock 6x9" adapter brackets. They're a great deal if you ask me. The bass is so deep and powerfull, it fills the car just as much as a small 8" subwoofer would. They can handle a lot of power too, it takes a lot to make them distort.
As far as overall sound quality, I'd give them a 4/5, they play very good in the midrange section, excellent for rock music, and excellent for rap or techno (music with lots of bass)... but the highs aren't as pronounced as some other speakers...
They do their job perfectly in my car's setup though, filling in the rear just excellently.

Pioneer makes very good equipment for the money. I've had several sets of Pioneer 6x9's and every one I've been happy with. They sound great, and for the price, can't be beat.
