The SWI-JACK allows the customer to retain the use of their steering wheel or rear seat radio controls when replacing the factory head unit. Works with Alpine's OEM Steering Remote Ready radios. The SWI-JACK also retains the use of heater control buttons on GM vehicles. The SWI-JACK features just can't be beat...

Now Updated! The SWI-JACK rev. 1.4.16 or higher, now controls JVC and Kenwood, Clarion and Blaupunkt radios with wired remote inputs.

The SWI-JACK is so universal that you only need one SKU# to cover over 95% of the vehicles made from 1986 to current. New vehicles coming out every year? No problem! Never be stuck with a vehicle specific type interface.

Assign the buttons on the steering wheel to any of the aftermarket radios available functions:

  1. Alpine: Volume Up, Volume Down, Mute, Track Up, Track Down, Preset Up, Preset Down and Band.
  2. Kenwood: Vol Up, Vol Down, Mute, Source, Seek Up, Track Up, Track Down, Disc Up/FM, Disc Down/AM.
  3. JVC: Vol Up, Vol Down, Mute/Power, Preset Up, Source, Seek Up, Seek Down, Select, Band.
  4. Clarion: Vol Up, Vol Down, Mute, Seek Up, Seek Down, Band, Source.
Additionally...
  • The SWI-JACK has non-volatile memory which keeps all programming in memory even if the vehicle Battery is disconnected.
  • Great for convertables. Unlike the SWI-X, the SWI-JACK is not affected by sunlight.
  • The SWI-JACK not only covers Ford, GM or Chrysler/Dodge but also it covers Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chysler, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab, Toyota and Volkswagan. Oh, did we also say it covers Harley Davidson motorcycles?

Noise

July 9, 2009

I use it with Kenwood HU and at least this combination produces noise while changing track or while "pause". Have to check groundings one more time, but I'm pretty sure they're fine...

Works well with my titan 08 4 door to retain the steering wheel control. So if you are not somewhat electrically skilled you could have alittle trouble installing this. overall works well .

PAC SWI-JACK

December 25, 2008

Santa dropped off the SWI-Jack for my LR3 to Kenwood change out. The item was easy to set up and integrate, The procedure available from the web site was simple and logical. Recommend the unit to anyone needing to do similar. I haven't rated durability, because I don't know...should be good as the unit looks robust and is well secured in the car.

2002 Chrysler 300M

It did take a few attempts to program, instructions I received were for a different model. Fortunately their website had them. Still, they could have been better written. Works just fine but a tad slower than oem. Although there is also the chance that the reaction time is due to the Kenwood KDC X791 head unit.

Works great

July 25, 2007

This product takes a little patience when connecting and programming. It took me a few tries to get everything set-up but once it is set-up it is good to go and works great. Just follow the instructions to a "T" and all should be well.
