Amplifier Series
This designates the series of the amplifier. Many amps are available in a litany of different wattage and channel configurations, but maintain consistent features throughout the product line.
Number of Channels
Each channel on an amplifier will power one speaker using a positive and negative cable. There are various types of amplifiers, each designed to power a certain number of speakers. Monoblock amplifiers, also known as single channel, are designed to power one or more subwoofers. These amplifiers often have very high power ratings. On the other hand, multi-channel amplifiers power multiple speakers, usually at lower power ratings. 2-Channel and 4-Channel amplifiers can power car speakers or low powered subwoofers. Occasionally you might see a 5 or 6-channel amplifier that can power speakers and subwoofers at the same time. Total RMS Power Output
Total RMS power is measured by multiplying RMS power per channel by the number of channels, and is calculated at the lowest level of operating impedance.

RMS power is the amount of continuous power, measured in watts, that an amplifier produces is called RMS power. The higher the RMS figure, the louder and cleaner your music sounds.

The RMS output figure is much more accurate than the peak rating when comparing products.

Maximum Input Gauge Size
This is the largest gauge wire that will fit into the power and ground terminals of this device. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire is. For example, a 4 gauge wire is thicker than an 8 gauge wire and thus has higher current carrying capacity. Always do your best to get this size wire to reduce the risk of damage to your components.

This input type allows you to get your audio signal directly from the speaker wire in your vehicle, instead of using RCA cables. The advantage of this is factory integration, as most stock radios do not have RCA outputs to run amplifiers.

Many amplifiers are equipped with RCA preamp outputs which pass the original music signal from the source to additional amplifiers. This is known as daisy chaining because the source connects to the first amp, and the first amp connects to the second amp, etc. The advantage to daisy chaining is you only need one 2-channel RCA cable to transfer the signal from the head-unit to the amplifier, and then one additional cable for each amp being daisy chained.

The high-pass crossover frequency can be a fixed crossover point or a variable crossover range. A variable high-pass crossover allows you to select a specific crossover point which allows frequencies above the set crossover point to pass, while making frequencies below the set point gently or harshly roll-off, depending on the steepness of the slope.

The steepness of the roll-off slope is measured in dB/octave and refers to the rate of attenuation (lowering of volume) outside their pass bands.

The objective of the bass boost is to get more kick out of your subwoofer. It is a circuit that emphasizes the lower frequencies at a given point. The bass boost should always be set first before setting the gain. This feature is known for destroying subwoofers and is commonly used incorrectly, so be cautious.

Some amplifiers can be "strapped" together in order to increase the output of a single audio channel. These amplifiers feature RCA preamp outputs, allowing you to pass the signal directly from one amp to the other to ensure consistency.

I bought this amp not to long ago, and I have it hooked up to 2 12" Kicker comps in my mustang.and they have never skipped a beat. The amp also has a cool little blue light that lights up my trunk pretty nice. for the price, I would recommend this amp to anyone.

I have this amp on 2 Audiobahn AW1206t 12s 1100 watt r.m.s. each and it's slams them hard this is a great amp and gives out a lot of power the only downfall in my opinion it gets pretty warm and should have had a fan built in but for the price you can't go wrong it's great just like most power Acoustik products would recommend this amp to anybody

I got this amp hooked up to 2 Kicker 15" CVRs. I did at first have them like normal but I wanted to see how they sounded when they where hooked up mono. And just let me tell you. These things BEAT!! EVERY SONG and each and every bass note. Trust me I had 2 12s and then wanted to be different and Im glad I did. I can park my car by my mail box and walk inside and you can hear the bass loud and clear. Shaking everything and makes my cars trunk,roof, and windows just flex crazy.

this amp is amazing it is one of the biggest amps i have seen literley its like 2 ft long and has a really bright blue lite on it that lites up my back seat pretty well
the power is really good i have 2 kicker 10 cvr's and this amp will destroy them if i turn it up if i have the level on the remote on min and level on the amp on high my subs go like 100mph on bass notes.. buy it only 20 bucks for
400 watts from the 18 to the 2200 amp great!!!!

I own two of these amplifiers they are well-featured. the power is good for the price.

cons: none really

pros: it is a durable amplifier it's not cheap quality but it's decent quality. I've owned it for quite a while and have not broken anything.
I would recommend this amplifier to anyone that wants lots of decent quality and considerable amount of power without paying a lot.

I've been hooked on power acoustik after trying an older model amp and buying 2 of their subs for my girlfriend. After buying an amp from Hifonics i wasnt impressed and got sonicelectronix to swap it for this amp. i fell in complete love. the Hifonics amp was in the same power class and i wont hate on Hifonics but maybe it was a fluke because it was not very good. This PA amp is sexy, pushes raw hard power and makes my dual P3's sound AAAA-mazing. Also from being under the backseat of my play truck its been abused my mud, water, dirt, etc. im impressed at the durability.

make sure you have space though, this thing can also be used as a surf board.

the amp is amazing i had 2 alpine e 12's at 4 ohms and the subs are rated at 250 rms so i know the 370 rms rating is really close if not the same beacuse if i turned the bass nob all the way up the subs went like 120 mph and prob would of blown up also had it on 2 kicker cvr 10's and it made them hit pretty hard,

the amp is def worth it and the protect mode works perfectly, 95% my vote because of the screw clamp terminals if it had the allen ones it would be 100% just buy some 3 dollar spade conecters for the 4 ga,
