I purchased this as a Christmas gift for the family. Great price and the reviews were all very good. Sonic shipped it quickly, I was very happy to receive it within a couple days. I needed to wait until closer to Christmas before I could install it without the kids knowing, so I powered it up on my workbench using a 12V lab supply. The player is easy to use and the audio and video quality is great, with one exception. Every couple of minutes (depending on the DVD content it seems), the player will studder. Both audio and video will freeze for a very short time (less than 1/2 a second) and then continue. If the studder happens at any given point in the DVD once, it will happen at that point again EVERY time, which made me think that this is a performance limitation rather than a defective unit. I tried several DVDs and some were better than others (all I tried were originals, free from scratches and worked fine in other DVD players). I did an RMA with Sonic, and they happily sent me a replacement right away to ensure I received it in time for Christmas. Unfortunately, the replacement does the exact same thing, at the exact same points in the DVD playback. It's too close to Christmas to worry about trying to swap it for another brand, so I will install it and live with it. I'm sure the kids won't even notice, but I know it's going to bug me for years. :)

This was a good, cheap, dvd player i put into my glove box of my 2001 gs430
Everything works great except for some reason the infared remote reader no longer works after 6 months....I will be looking into turning the reader in for warranty but the DVD player works just great

I installed this DVD player for a friend on a ford van. The DVD player can be mounted in any way because of slot receiving, not a loading tray. It is almost impossible to make it skip and glows a nice blue. It is a little noisy when starting up, but not when in play. Probably because of its super slim design. Weighs more than in looks but that is ok. Picture quality is good and the last position memory is great! Overall this is one of the best DVD player in the 59 to 500 dollar range! Would buy again!

This is an excellent product. After a phone call to PA customer service, I was advised to use this set with my in-car DVD players as they work off the FM signal and don't have be in full view to work.
The sound is crisp and clear with no interference.
