I installed the JVC KW-XG700 in my wife's 1998 Toyota 4-Runner as a replacement for the DD OEM unit. I have always used Alpine or Kenwood decks in the past but chose this JVC deck this time around because of the overall look fitting well with my vehicles interior, the front USB port, and the very high user ratings found at numerous websites on the internet. I coupled this deck with four JL Audio C2-650X speakers and the sound quality is awesome, especially compared to what it replaced. This is an extremely easy unit to set up as the menus are easy to navigate and very intuitive, you almost don't even need to open the owner's manual. This was a pleasant surprise compared some other units I have owned. The display is bright and easy to read even in direct sunlight. The USB source works great and I loaded up an old 4GB mini thumb drive with enough .mp3's that my wife will probably never get through them all. Some here have reported that when playing music from USB, it returns to the first song when powered off and back on. My unit doesn't do that and returns to the last song played. The JVC KW-XG700 is a quality unit and a great choice...you won't be sorry!!
Lastly, this was my first experience purchasing from Sonic Electronix. I have always bought from a more well known competitor in the past but won't go back due to the great prices (over $100 less than the other place) and the great customer service found here. Shipping was fast and I got my order in only 2 days. I give them 10 out of 10!!

This receiver is by far the best you can get (compared to any competing model), considering how inexpensive it is on sonic. I am extremely happy with it, it looks awesome, and since it is double DIN the buttons/knobs/screen are so much bigger. Ive always liked JVC decks, but this one is my favorite one that i have ever seen or messed with. Looking for a new deck, i would recommend you look at this one!

Installed quickly and easily with adapters. Looks great! easy to access mp3s from the USB port or from recorded cd's. great reception on the radio. best thing is no more commercials and hours of just great music without repeat whether using cd's or usb source for mp3 collections. Haven't used the bluetooth option yet but may explore that later. nice to have the option

Bought this radio and love it. I like the double DIN which allow for bigger buttons. Has all the feature I am looking for: Sat. radio, front USB, Ft, Rr and, Sub preamps. Only bad thing is that it doesn't remember that last song when using the USB. Mine will go to the first song when ever I turn it on. I did have to reset the unit when I installed my amp but, this may be normal didn't have power to it for almost a week.

This is an excellent radio. The screen has several modes to choose from including off and the brightness is dimmable. The usb port loads quickly and you can play it straight or shuffle it up, but in shuffle mode it does not play all of the songs on the drive. I like the bluetooth feature, you can set it so if you are listening to another source, it will answer the phone and pause the music or you can set it so you answer the phone with the push of any button on the unit. If listening to a cd or the usb and a call comes in you will have to turn the volume up and turn it back down before the call ends. This is not an issue if listening to the radio. The unit has very clean sound and the radio stations are kept very clean. The unit had 1 malfunction were it said reset 8. After resetting and disconnecting several times the code remained. This only affected the bluetooth function and other people have reported the same problem, but after a week the error corrected itself and has not appeared again. The unit looks better in person than in most pictures and it looks like it came stock with my 1996 accord. Overall the best unit you can buy.
