Their Kevlar fiber semi-pressed paper cones combine light weight with high strength to dramatically improve performance. Compressed sealed high excursion Poly-ether-ester makes up this woofers surround providing a strong yet elastic connection to the cone. To keep this beast cold blooded, Rockford Fosgate uses anodized aluminum voice coil formers to provide excellent heat dissipation. This punch woofer has stitched tinsel leads that withstand extreme duty cycles, fatigue and high current that is critical to its robust design.
