PRICE! It is cheaper here than on other sites for the same product. Have purchased other items here and have not had any issues with the products.

My current radio pops terribly. Hopefully this does the trick. Should definitely be added to recommended accessories or install items to products.

This is needed to step down the subwoofer amp voltage from 12v to 5v; without it, there may apparently be a pop from the speakers when the system is turned on or off. Or so I've read. This is for an '04 Mustang with the Mach 460.

I want to install this in a 2001 Ford Mustang Cobra w/ Mach 460 audio. Other sites have stated that I need an Axxess AFDI-5V to avoid the "thump" when I turn the system on but it isn't included in the install kit . Do I need this part?

Best Answer: The factory ford amplifier only uses a 5v signal to turn on the amp, the pioneer (or any other headunit) provides a 12v signal to turn on amplifiers. if installing an aftermarket head unit with the mach 460 sound system, there MAY be a pop heard from the speakers everytime the system is turned on
